turn card capture off

Post by Nous-irons »

I know that in some variants of risk, there's the ability to choose whether cards can be captured by eliminating players or not.

I think this feature would be interesting, given that the strategies and style of an escalating + noncapture game would change considerably.

Why is it goofy? Because you don't like? I have seen suggestions that I think are alot more goofy than this one.

If you don't like it state your opinion and maybe explain why you think it is goofy.

i like this idea, as he said it would make an escalating game very different.

it would remove any want to kill another player which would make games go so much slower.

Bet it makes those games empty...may as well play no card game and really stretch it out...

What Next? only capture half the cards? Sorry but I think that there are enough "card" variations for me...I can just see it "Hey how about no maximum card limit"...

Just my opinion...Don't see the point...

Agreed the eiminating a player to take their cards and the timing is one of the tactical aspects of risk.
