it's purpose is to make it more easy for mapmakers to compose their xml and give them more time to make their maps Currently there's only the GUI but functionality will be added as soon as next week
no program like this exists that i know of. at present some of us work from an xml tool that is excel s/sheet based or from the java/gui i'd be interested to see how this works and if it makes the xml composition process any easier.

Id also be interested in seeing how it works. If it makes it simple (Click a button and you have a territory for example) then it could be really handy (: (Could put Yeti out of a job though )
And no, don't think anything like this has been made yet
No such tool exists right now, so the need exists. I'll wait until there's actual code behind the GUI, though, as that has a tendency to be Harder Than Expected. Get in touch with yeti_c about what order the XML should go in for the engine to recognize it properly.
As for yeti_c being out of a job, I doubt it. Some of his masterworks were crafting bonus regions from subregions in ways one wouldn't expect, and doing it efficiently. See: Poker Club and Conquer 4.

Indeed - this tool will just remove the drudgery and help to remove some of the silly errors.
Thanks will change that Since I don't have any experience making game XML's I was wondering what the most the most common pittfall is that mapmaker make when writing there XML
progress update: All the nessecary classes are in place project is moving along nicely I should have an early working build late next week

For me, typing it manually in NoteTabPro, the most common thing i have trouble with is getting the bordering correct, and the consistent spelling of all the names correct. Usually there is Caps or something missing in some names that the wml Checker informs is incorrect. Good luck with this, Genine.

So it's like WM's excel thingy but in GUI? Sounds good. Maybe a little better looking at some of the options that you're proposing.
If you can combine this with MapAssist (jota's) and the 88 cursor thing (mr. benn's showed this I think). Then you've put everything we need into one spot.
Those three things above have made doing XML so easy. Putting them all in one spot would make this great.
