New TO: amazzony - Winner: DJ Teflon

Standings by amazzony: Here's my scoreboard: Amazzony's Deadliest Warrior Scoreboard (page 8 )
[/edit-Lx]

Welcome to the Deadliest Warrior tournament thread! We all know the show "Deadliest Warrior" right? Have you agreed with all of their decisions as to who is the deadliest? Surely not. All of their number crunching can only give us a glimpse of what would really happen. So why not prove that your culture's warriors are the deadliest the world has ever seen? (and ever will!)
In this tournament all the matches will be one-on-one. Comparing weapons used by each of the warriors in their respective class i.e. long range, special weapons, short range etc. Each round will be five matches, each for a weapon class. The tournament will be round robin so each warrior will be pitted against each other warrior. After the round robin the warrior with the most kills will be declared the dealiest! For every win you will get one kill. In the event that there is a tie after the round robin the warriors in the tie will participate in another round robin until their is no longer a tie.
Due to the high number of games in each match up there are only sixteen spots in this tournament. Grabs yours now to prove your warriors mettle!

All matches will be Random, Adjacent, Standard, Sunny, Sequential, No spoils. I am not set on this map so if you all would prefer a different map just let me know and we can change it.

If you could all post your warrior of choice to represent that would be greatly appreciated. There can only be one of each kind of warrior. Also, the warrior does not need be of any prerequisite age in our history books for them to be acceptable. The warriors could be modern for example. You don't even need to pick a specific warrior, so you could be just a regular knight or ninja.

cowboyz - Viet Cong/Charlie - 26 kills
DJ Teflon - Hercules (Greek Warrior) - 21 kills
OutSider - Green Beret - 21 kills

Achilles is acceptable, I beleive Achilles is a Hoplite, different enough from Hercules and Leonidas.

Can I be in as Joan of Arc? Or does the warrior need to be older? Ahhotep I perhaps? I'll probably pick Ahhotep I as she was at least a Queen that lived out her life and wasn't burned at the stake.

I would like to be Charlie...king of the Viet Cong.

Also how bout changing the map...standard map doesn't really fit the theme of the tournament. Since we are warriors fighting battles to see who is the deadliest...Peloponnesian War seems a bit more fitting. Sunny, esc, unlimited?
What ya think?

I'm in for Hatuey (Taíno Cacique) - considered to have led indigenous resistance to European conquest in Eastern Cuba in 1511/12 before being burned at the stake by the Iberians.

I think Pelopennesian War would not fit 1v1, although its a great map. Plus, it's too damn Euro-centric ;) .

Chief Tascalusa of the historic Alabama Indians. So tall his feet dragged the ground when riding a Spanish war horse.

You know, Land And Sea might be a good idea for a map. That way we could incorporate nautical warriors as well.

That's great 1v1 map, there are few tournaments already using it for 1v1 games. Also Euro Centric is good, considering it's at the center of the world and most all famous war groups can somehow be connected to Europe. It also has famous battle sites marked on the map. Also takes a bit of skill instead of just random luck of the drop.
