whether or not it is actually there is not most important in this case.
the bridge was put there to have a similar lay-out in that area. the dotted lines (sea routes) are therefore only used in the wadden-eilanden area, because in that area there are only sea routes and no bridges.
again, similar approach for all countries in one continent.
so making a dotted line in zeeland would be only confusing and matching reality is not decisive when making a cc-map, i think.

- Final Forge
---Netherlands has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. There will be at least two days (but may extend pass that) for you to post any objections; if no one has posted any protest after two days the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. If after two days there is still discussion going on it may continue until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.
Post questions and concerns if any.

I think the current arrangement of sea routes and land bridges is the best.
A few things that bug me, the way the river looks in the non-gameboard area.
Also, some of the borders look slightly odd. Compare those in Zuid and Midden. Midden's seem a little off, as in they don't seem as faded...and accompanied by a whiteish line.
One thing to consider, perhaps elminate a little of the flag in the bonus legend, so it doesn't touch Holland...might be nice to have a buffer zone.
The non-gameboard area also seems slightly out of place...I like that it is plain, perhaps it's too plain? I'm not sure.

i dont know, i think it looks ok. at least it breaks up the monotonous feel of the brown, which i dont really know how to improve. also, the river is somewhat essential to the map, as it provides important bridges and borders, but cant just end as soon as it gets out of the playable area. Andy and gavin, are you suggesting the 3-D visual is out of place or the entire river outside of the playable area itself? i can understand both, but one will be much easier for Lone.prophet to fix than the other.
these are just my opinions, im no map connisseur. cant wait to play the map. nice work Lone.prophet!
