The Terminator tournament: [Winner: dwwood7 17]

One for fans of The Terminator films.

18 players are needed for this tournament. When posting to join, please indicate which character or Skynet machine you would like to represent from the list below.

Each player will be assigned to one of three groups, each group comprising two Resistance, two Neutral/Unknown Allegiance/Reprogrammed, and two Skynet.

Each player will play 5 games in Round 1, each on a different map. These maps are as follows;

USA
Asia
Europe
South America
Arms Race!

All games are terminator (obviously), sequential, escalating, unlimited, no fog. Round speed casual.

The two players with the most kills (not games won) from each group will go into the final. In case of a tie, then the tying player(s) who won the most games will qualify for the final. If still not decided, the eligible players will play a tiebreaker on a randomly assigned map (by me, from the maps listed above, using a real die; not the site's random map generator) with the game winner (as opposed to most kills) going through. In case of a three or more way tie for both 1st and 2nd place group winners, then the the finalists will be the winner and last to be eliminated.

Incidentally, games will be run sequentially, not simultaneously, so freemiums need only keep one game slot open.

The final round will be six players in three games of USApocalypse (same settings as round one), with the ultimate winner being whoever won the most games in the final round. In case of a tie, the winner will be the player who got the most kills in the final round, if still a tie, which of these got the most kills in the entire tournament. If still a tie after this (very unlikely), then it will be down to a final tiebreaker game with the winner of this being the overall winner.

Any deadbeats will automatically be replaced by a reserve for the duration of the tournament.

Reserves will carry on with the points earned for kills by whoever they are replacing.

Reserves

At this point, reserves will no longer be used. Anyone failing to join or deadbeating will be automatically eliminated from the tournament and the games will continue with a reduced number of players if necessary.
