Thanks for stopping by, I think I'm ready to host my first tournament. Please sign up... I won't shoot the dog, and you'll have fun (or you'll get to watch me crash and burn as a tourney organizer, which may be fun if you're into watching crashing and burning.)
Since it's my first, I'm going to make it pretty simple. This one (from my Tournament Organizer perspective) is about getting good at the mechanics of running a tourney. I'll keep it small, and I promise I'll be dedicated and see it through.
The format:
32 players. Randomly "seeded" into 8 groups for the first round. Rounds 1 and 2 will be 4-person games, single elimination - win your game and advance. In the finals, the two finalists will play 1v1 until someone wins twice, and that person becomes champion. The winner will play 4 or 5 games. (As tournament organizer, I will be creating 12 or 13 games, which is easily manageable, and you can be confident that a winner will be crowned!)
