They were created to balance gameplay. They don't represent anything in real life. Marv did not want rivers, mountains, or anything natural there - he wanted un-natural boundaries - hence the thick glowing lines.

Of all the peculiarities which Marv insisted upon, the borders actually make a lot of sense to me... or at least i can most easily circumvent my taste to accommodate them ;)

They may not be the prettiest but they are there for the right reasons; not compromising reality by pretending to be a contrived geographical feature.
What they are are glowing thick lines acting as false boundaries, imposed to balance gameplay... as such they retain a certain integrity.

i think i'm going to touch up the Ordem word in the banner over the title. It looks a little smudged.

K. here is the images with the banner text "just the M" fixed

Hey RJ,

Sorry to weigh in so late on this, but have you considered doing something like this to make the minimap look less "sticky-outy-in-the-middle-of-blank-space":

Haven't considered that eipi. But I think I'm going to pass on the suggestion. It would be way more work than I'm willing to do with this map. But thanks anyway.

It may be my birthday, but I love writing and manipulating code. :) Since it's been a nice and relaxing day for me so far I went ahead and fixed the coordinates. I think we are all ready to go now. :D

And as a note of importance: Espirito Santo is always gonna look kind of strange regardless of where I center it. I think it has to do with the army circle transitioning from the light background to the dark background and it plays some tricks on the eyes.

The Portuguese at the top looks like it says "ordem eprogresso" when it should say "ordem e progresso"

If its not too much hassle, could a space be put between the e and the progresso to clear this up.
