Are you being serious right now? The casting was brilliant! Casting well-known or recognizable actors would have ruined the whole experience.

And what could possibly be wrong with the camera work? The whole *point* of the movie was it was filmed by a complete amateur scared shitless

Keep everyone except the camera guy! He drove me nuts. Blair Witch did the same thing regarding the camera thing, but I didn't mind it there, it's just that camera guy in Cloverfield.....ugh. He can't have been from NY, he was so damn stupid.

i dont think so though :S theres no way for them to retrieve that camera and film another whole length of stuff in that same period of crisis. plus, the protagonists died!!!

Or, they could even film a more traditional movie, with regular camera angles and backstory and such.

The monster lived--that's all that matters in the movie world. Everyone in the movie could die, but as long as the monster is alive it'll be ready for a sequel
