small map
2. The text in the icecap on the minimap is a little hard to read. It needs to be made a little more prominent I feel.

Fair enough though i understand what you mean by my thoughts being skewed. I didn't mean making it a whole heap bigger, just a tidbit but hey it's not essential.

The 'uninhabitable icecap' text on the small map is a bit difficult to read.
Should probably be made a bit bigger or more noticeable, as gimil suggested. Just so no one has a problem reading it.

My other suggestion is to move the 'special thanks: mibi - gimil' section to the left a bit.
Right now I think part of gimil's name is being cut off on the small map.

Other than those two things, no other complaints.
Nice work.

Also, i don't think the words uninhabited ice cap work because the passes that go through it are habitable

What makes them uninhabitable is the fact that they lose 1 troop per round ;)

I've changed the note after "Sermersuaq" to just "Ice Cap" re: ZEP. If it was killer neutral I'd keep it there but not in this case ;)

Yeah, I know I don't have to.

Do you really want it to say "gimi"

Also the change you made to the ice-cap mini-map text, is now different on both small and large maps ;) Small map still says uninhabitable

Two complaints:

1. The .44 on your sigs looks like a mistake.
2. why are we still using the old stamps?

I kinda see where you're coming from … I think a bit more separation from the "killing" would help.
2. why are we still using the old stamps?

This got stamped a couple hours before new ones were released :P

Update (name, some nitpicks I've found, minimap colors vs. map colors adjustments) and XML up tomorrow — I've done the large co-ords but have yet to do small. XML checker says it's good.

If i knew that they were being released today, i would have waited until they were released before stamping. However i didn't know so i just used what was available ;) Funnily enough that's probably the last stamp of the old design that will be handed out :P

This map has turned out pretty nice.
I must say, that it is a welcomed sight, to see a few really nice maps getting quenched lately.
This map is good as it is, but did you ever try my suggestion about trading places with the bear and the bonus map ? You could scale the bonus map down a bit and scale the bear up. That bear really makes this map unique, and it would not hurt one bit to make it even more pro dominant.

pork, I think that moving the minimap up there would be awkward with the shape of Greenland, and IMO it's fine as is.

Wait. ... the bear's back foot... it looks like he's doing a doo doo.

And why is greenland not green?

And the instructions on ice passes are only in English, it should be English subtitles on the original native Greenlandian?

Plus the beat in the native language is too modern for an ancient culture.

And the water texture is wrong - it doesn't reflect the undersea maps publicly available.

And why is the ice cap white? Why isn't there yellow snow. You need a reason the area costs -1 per turn.

Actually I quite like the map.

Should the passes start as neutral? Graphically the map is good, the only thing i dont like is the two 'water lines' around the word Greenland. It looks watery, not icy. the text about losing a troop for the passes im not sure about, but i dont see what else you can do, unless you write it on the minimap.
