Change the yellow colour to something else to enhance viewability vs. neutral (white). eg. orange (nb. excuse me if this colour is in use already in larger games, I never play more than 5player).
Alternatively, change white territors to black
Specifics:
as above
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
I won't have to tilt my screen and look really really close to see who owns a territory.
Less errors would be made by mistaking a yellow or neutral territory

That's supposed to be for color-blind people, and it makes the numbers take up even more space. It's not really addressing the problem, it's just a cop-out.
I think the value should be changed as well, maybe to cccc00 or something instead of ffff00. I have to use BOB to tell the difference sometimes.

I do believe that's for anyone who can't figure out what colors they are seeing and you can also unclick it once you know what colors are where. It definitely resolves the white/yellow, grey/green and red/pink/orange distinctions.

There is a big problem with the colour codes...sometimes I can't distinguish grey from green and when I add colour codes, they are still g for grey and g for green, so that thing is useless.

for me it´s g for green and s for silver
Wow it really is...either I didn't see the difference or it has been changed
I know the colour codes are there, but they really do clutter up the map. Especially maps that are already complicated. What about black for neutral then? as long as that doesn't look too similar to blue (which could go a shade lighter).
It's not a huge change and I would guess it shouldn't take too much programming.

Actually the S is for Slate, but who is counting. The Color Committee failed if you ask me.
More like the visible light spectrum failed. We've tossed around a few ideas for slightly alternate shades of the colors we have, so we'll have to see what happens.
The better solution to increase color visibility is to have colored buttons with black or white numbers on top. This would give you a swatch of color to look at instead of a 1px line and would help this situation tremendously.
Unfortunately on colored or very decorative maps this would ruin the existing aesthetics and is not worth the trouble IMO.
