Sam. continued nice development. :)
I am a little concerned about the gameplay.
You have 8 starting points which (and forgive me if i have got this incorrect) can't be attacked because of the imapssable wire, but they can attack one-way outwardly.
Does this mean that each starter can't be eliminated? Or am i missing something.
If so, you could have another "Das Schloss" on your hands.

Thanks for commenting cairnswk :)

The Polish Air Force (P.A.F) in the centre of poland is the only way to attack Commenders outside of Poland, you must get to the P.A.F before you can eliminate somebody ;) It's explained in the Legend up the top ;)

The PAF is the clearly the essential territory on this map.

In my opinion that would make for a gameplay style which isn't present on many maps. A great feature.

This would be a good map in fog of war, where the planes and tanks become key territories to clear a bit of fog. Nice.

Maybe worth editing the test about autodeploy to "Each Commander" - some players might think you have to hold all ten for the +3 (although they'd realise it is for each on their first go)?

The tricky thing to work out is whether the neutral values are ok so that the starting positions aren't too dissimilar to be able to advance from - it seems fine at first glance though.

I think there should be other methods to bombard/attack the commander (ex.include an objective)

There are 14 territories that can attack the commander so I think that is enough.

I think the bonus for the commander should be a little less though, perhaps +4, and it should be aoutodeploy. This makes it slightly less valuable, but still key. Also, the bonus should be auto-deploy, it just seems to make more scence.

Like that the P.A.F is the only way to attack other commanders. IT makes it so people are forced to try and take the treacherous trip into Poland and risk losing a lot.

Just PC03, do you think it is too unclear?
Joodoo wrote:I think there should be other methods to bombard/attack the commander (ex.include an objective)

As has already been discussed, it needs to be appealing to make the advance into Poland, if planes could bombard/attack Polish Commanders than i doubt anyone would ever get into Poland

RE: German Flag Concerns

I have looked around and the Nazi Swastika is the National Flag of Germany during this attack, since we can't use the swastika, this map will have to be rendered historically inaccurate, but that's life. The following flags are the other options available, I have set up a poll, please vote :)

Also if you are a WWII expert or German expert and you know of a flag i can't find, please let me know ;)

Option A: Imperial German Flag WWI
Image
Option B: German National Flag 1933 - 1935
Image
Option C: National Flag of Germany : The C-Pennant 1946-1949
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Germany_(1946-1949).svg
Option D: German National Flag 1949 - present

I suppose you could use the symbol that the nazi-german troops had on the vehicles.
So, you can be historically accurate ;)

here me again, you can use Symbol of Wermacht(German Army during WWII),but then you need to change ,and that instead Flags Use Military Symbols of Soviet Union,Poland,Slovakia, because these will be correct.
For now your choices to people vote, its a little Insulting, because you use present FlaG of Germany(if im a german these will be very insulting for me now)

I don't really have time just now to go back and read but can someone (sam maybe?) give me a summary of the concerns behind actually using the swaztika?

Cheers.

We're not in Germany so i doubt it matters ;)

Actually, I think it does matter, because of the global reach of the site.... While I appreciate the historical accuracy of using the swastika, and while I personally don't object to its use in this context, I still think it would be appropriate to use an alternative symbol if possible. I not sure if there is any official CC policy on this [I'll make some enquiries], but the policy of sites such as eBay indicates that a change may be required...

Wikipedia wrote:
Because of its use by Hitler and the Nazis and, in modern times, by neo-Nazis and other hate groups, the swastika is largely associated with Nazism and white supremacy in most of the Western countries. As a result, all of its use, or its use as a Nazi or hate symbol is prohibited in some jurisdictions. Because of the stigma attached to the symbol, many buildings that have contained the symbol as decoration have had the symbol removed. Westerners whose family originates from India, including religions such as Jain, Hindu and other Indian religions, still use the swastika as a religious symbol, with no connection to Nazism, although not without being accused of cultural insensitivity.

The official confirmation...
MrBenn wrote:Further to the swastika debate, I have had confirmation that the symbol should not be used on any CC maps. This represents official CC policy, and is not open to negotiation. Please use the German cross instead.

There were a lot more comments about it but these are the most important, and i completely understand, which is why it will be changed to

Changes V6:
  • All Commander Symbols have been changed to correct military WWII symbols
  • Different bullet holes on title
  • Changed Arrows

You have to clarify more the difference between the P.A.F symbol and the other symbols (maybe colour the symbols differently or something). I also think this map looks dull, it looks like you've left this map in the sun too long and its faded. I think you should brighten it up.

First i must say that im satisfy that you apply mine sugestions abouth Military Symbols, its good and totaly correct.
Only small things-Stars in red army symbol need to be more centralised.

Lets speak abouth gameplay,if i understand correctly first who take P.A.F can bombard all commanders? These can be very advantage for first who take P.A.F,because some players is in big disantvage.
-Fedor Won Bock have best way to P>A>F.
-Edvard Eudz Smigly is in worst situation, and who start in these are,its best to take pistol and commit suicide
-Kovalev is in same situation like Edvard.
-All others is in much better situation.

Now i need to ask,its these you create on purpose, that some player start in hard situation, and some players have great start.
I belive that you need to change things, because now map is unbalanced to much.

Actually qwert, each player has an even chance of getting to the P.A.F ;) Tanks can attack up to 2 regions away, each Commander has access to their own tank which can attack the P.A.F, so everyone has equal access to the P.A.F ;)

You mean he can jump for 2 territory every tank?

It's the same as the Cavalry on 'Waterloo', yes tanks can range their assault up to 2 regions away, so that each commander has equal chance to reach the P.A.F.
