Just look at FDR, the New Deal Agencies worked for a little while but eventually the money ran out and the only thing that saved us from going deeper into depression is WW2. What shouldnt be tolerated or allowed is a government hand in controlling private business. What do you think WW2 was? That's right - the greatest deficit spending in American history. Ie, GOVERNMENT STIMULUS.
Point is that his New Deal wasn't the thing that bolstered our economy out of the Great Depression, It was the war which FDR tried to stay out of. (Im not saying trying to stay out of of the war was bad)
Sorry for the Triple Post.
Japs wrote:Sorry I miss-spoke on that little fun fact part. I mean to say he is the President who has spent the most money so far in this short amount of time compared to all of our other presidents.
He is embracing the economic theory of Keyneism which FDR also embraced but his goals like Obama's were to short termed.

Pedronicus wrote:Seeing as how i've never been to America and do not know their car model names, could someone please give me some GM models that have retained the same name, and have had 4-5 new versions, made over the last 10-15 years?
I once looked on wiki at the evolution of the Ford Thunderbird and the styling started off cool and evolved into an ugly piece of shit, then only recently did ford try to make a model that looked like the original.
When ever I've seen American tv programmes like X files for example, I've been horrified by the piss poor design of the cars.
European models in the ford range have been good looking cars for as long as i've been alive, and only recently have the likes of peugeot, renault, citroen & & GM's european arm (opel/vauxhall) been able to match ford in the looks dept. 20 years ago car made by these firms looked shit, whereas Ford had a massive slice of the market.

I abused your mother in bed last night.
Or do I mean 'amuse'?
Yes. Yes I do.
Anyway, return to whatever it is that you were doing, I just popped by to point out spelling errors.
Love and love and love and hugs.

Hmmm. Before my 3rd DUI, I had full-coverage on my Z28 and truck for about $90 a month.
