If by "too many pussy on this site", you mean "the admins are too smart to implement something that will be abused over and over again", than yes, you are correct.

But Grim it can be control it also. Lets see as an example you can surrender at "X" rounds. I am not saying you can surrender in the first turn .
Only in Standar games with more than 4 players after "X" turns period.
Any idea need to be polish like an sculpture...you know that.
It doesnt matter what a silly player can do with.
The only thing is that maybe you will have to change your strategy coz the game will change too but for a good player it will be nothing
Never mind ..there is no use if the admins does not show goodwill to perform it btw...

It is not that the admins are not showing good will. This used to be a feature of the site, but so many people complained that it was being abused that lack had to remove it. It does not make sense for lack to put in a new feature that people have previously complained about and asked him to remove from the site.

Thank you Lan
Often after any suggestion for change has been made, there are those who like an acromegaly blight the original body of the suggestion with negativity.
There is a Greek word also that only have a translation from the Greek to Spanish i think ( didnt found the translation to English ) it is called Necrofagia " Nekro" means " death body" and "Phagos" means " to eat". A crow its an Nekrophago coz he survive and live by eating death bodies. It can be use it in a metaphorical sense. Then...Lets leave the Necrofagia and the Pasadofagia Pasado: "Past" for those that still are thinking that cant be possible to have it button again because in the past....bla bla bla bla bla.
Always because in the past... for it reason we cant evolve.
Who made it, For whom was made it , How was created it , When was created and where by the way... those are my questions.
If you add more some extra money for to get it maybe you will not stop the imprudents but you can reduce them.
But what about those erudite or knowledgeable players that use to play you when you have just only a few or one wet and poor troop on the board?
I was playing the game 4069792 with it guy who started to collect armies in front of my 1 troop 235 troops against mine in the Age of Realms map?? Thats insane come on! and he was doing this in about 100 games so to 100 players almost !!
Why you dont talk about it kinda of situation when already exist between us because you never got the experience with it?..then
What about if i change my premium membership for a fremium one..do i have to play just only Singles games? coz with it thought if i dont have chances after several turns to win the game, will become an eternity just for to start a new one what if I am eliminated from the game how many turns will take till it end.
We cant know it. As we cant know if it button already performed will work this time.
Another questions...did you used it button before? How did you felt after you used it ?
Sry my spell

Glad to see this has been brought up again!

Totally good idea.

* People can quit games they have clearly lost. Then, perhaps start another one. Have some fun instead of being stuck in one match that takes ages to finish and is dead boring. Im thinking of 1v1 speed games on large maps particularly here.
* People can quit games they will deadbeat anyway. Hmm I going to bed.... Im going to hospital ...Im just bored and feel like going for a walk ...I have a violin lesson (again thinking mainly of speed games.) I'll SURRENDER! HOOOORAY now the other guys in my games dont have to wait bloody ages and wont hate me for leaving! They'll carry on having FUN.

As Lance mentioned---it would unforunately lead to more abuse than benefit.

Could you be clearer on the abuse please? You mean multis? Or just bad sportsmanship?

Most likely both. It would seem to encourage things we'd like to avoid!

i think this is still a good option, but i really like what another mentioned about nuke option
the concept of a surrender button could be in the form of this nuke option. the result is it allows one to exit a game.

Agree Rocketry..speedy games with 4-8 players can be amazing I would certanly love it if I can get the time for to sit and wait for it quantity of people to share it also, I like to see in the standars or no spoils games a few players I can trust.
Not easy to find them at the same hour that I am here for to play an rt or an speedy one.
Thank you all, thank you sweetyyyy

This quote is perfect. This option was available, the masses hated the abuse, it was gone. Why bring back something that didn't work? And, to use a good quote, "if it's not broken, why fix it?" If you don't like waiting to lose, go to Live Chat and make RT's. Play speed. Play with quick friends in private. All sorts of options.

I just seems a shame that the minority of people who multi and would find the surrender button helpful have managed to override the opinion of the majority of non-multis. It would be an ineffective way to multi anyway so I'm not sure thats a credible argument. The guy with multis would just expose himself more easily. He could just multi faster, thats all...

As for bad sportsmanship... well.... perhaps thats true, perhaps not. I still think the benefits outweigh the odds on sportsmanship. Its better to give in if you have clearly lost so the other guy doesnt have to spend 1/2 and hour finishing you off.

Dont forget things have changed. Neutral armies make surrending less of an issue to the other players in the game. Speed games make surrendering a more useful option than before. Perhaps the surrender button WOULD be viable in light of these other advancements?

I will say it's annoying when people have decided they can't win, and just stop playing. In Casual games, it takes days for them to be auto-kicked.

What about a "skip my turn" option? Similar to if you play poker, and you simply ask to be dealt out. You are still at the table, and in poker terms you are still paying big and small blinds to stay in, but you are not playing and no one is waiting for you.

We always focus on how it can be abused (and I understand why), but I think there are merits for something like it that support good gamesmanship, not simply being the "lazy" button.

Programatically, there can be mechanisms put into place to limit the possibility of this sort of abuse. If desired, the site can limit how many New Recruit players you can play against alone cook or above. You can restrict all New Recruit players from joining any private games (Currently NR's are restricted from Assassin, Terminator, Team, Large (6+) and Complex map games), so that would not be a stretch.

One can also prevent future joins or regulate them if you have hit the SMT button too often. You don't have to have a penalty for it, but if you wanted to, you could make the penalty at a minimum the standard 20, no matter the rank of the opponent.

I hesitate to suggest penalizing the opponent, as he/she may or may not be aware of why the player hit the SMT button. Plus if it works in a way that is considered correct, then people might have games one with people on SMT regularly (instead of the "just finish me off already" that happens today).

Lastly, and I think this makes things like this easier to regulate, is one can make the SMT button a game create option, so game creators, tournament managers, etc can set it up front whether SMT is allowed in the game or not.

It is not the lazy button I like to fight till the every end .
If i have to report each time that another player are playing me with his 235 or 75 or 45 or whatever troops against mine it will be not enough. Not only I will lose time.
I am not paying for to be sitting here wasting time in it , looking how the other ones are getting funny and how some moderator will do something about down road to it person in particular. Always my time will be wasted , I will lose the game, the points my money and I will get upset finally.
I am paying for to play and have fun and to pay the consequences of my good or bad strategies because I can hold it, but certanly I am not paying for let another one to get funny in that way...IT is an ABUSE also.
About the speedy game yes, I can play the speedy games for now and good bye the problem? Not because freemius cannot join them...I am not thinking in mysefl I am not the button of the planet and still the problem will be there.
I am thinking in all the players membership.
What make you believe that it was the only guy in CC that used to do it kind of abuse?
Andy do something please at least say that you will think about it
