I'm having difficulty deploying in freestyle games - it takes me about 5 to 8 seconds longer than the other player to deploy - often because I have to refresh to actually see the lights go green to play so to speak. Anyone have any suggestions?
I have DSL
I have 2 GB RAM
I should have a system that works.

It's most likely because your opponents are using clickable maps and you are not.

Re: Deployment speed
1) Download clickable maps.
2) Press "b" to begin turn and right-click to auto deploy all troops.

Re: Deployment speed
Thanks for the reply Demon, but I am using clickable maps - that's part of the problem I think.
In speed assassin games, i often have to refresh to see the counter switch from 00.00.00 to allow me to start. By the time I've refreshed and 'BOB' has reloaded the log, half the other people have deployed.
Maybe it's my graphic card - I don't know.

There's your problem. So you can either turn that off and count armies by yourself, or learn some strategies and play sequential.ahote wrote:'BOB' has reloaded the log

Turn off Bob (it slows things down), instead of refreshing just hold down the "b" key, the "b" key has a dual function, it refreshes the screen and starts the turn.

for some of us holding b causes the site to stop responding
i suggest counting down to when the time will run out and then pressing b and if you get the timing right you will be fine
Re: Deployment speed
Thanks guys - at least the 'secret' of pressing 'b', which wouldn't have been one had I bothered to read, has helped a lot!
