Map Explorers Group - NOW IN USERGROUPS FORUM

Post by Teflon Kris »

For all those hoping to achieve x-map but worried about being annihilated by experts when trying new maps.

This will be a group where you can PM other members and try out new maps (no spoils, sunny is often a good way) knowing the other players aren't experts.

It may be an idea to install the Map Rank add-on (if you have firefox+greasemonkey) - then you can check out which maps you have/haven't played on and the same for your opponents (to check they aren't experts).

This will help get you started on new maps without the punishment!

Post a reply to join this group.

I'm going to leave this thread here for now as it's not really a clan but a usergroup. One of my goals is to clearly differentiate that.

Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

Count me in.

How's this gonna work? Do we create private games and invite people from this thread?

I'm in - some maps are just crazy. Using BOB helps but nothing beats the experience of playing few times.

I'm interested in joining but it seems a bit dis-organised.

I'm not sure how I'd go about organising a game on a map of my choice? Could we have a list of players I could PM with a game number and password....though that could lead to a lot of spam.

Anyway, I want to play the new Wales map, If anyone wants to join

it's Game 4447755 Password cymru

It's 5 players, flat, sunny, chained, standard

I feel if you want to learn a new map it needs to be sunny so you can see what's going on.
