Round Time Remaining On My Games [Done]

Post by patakylaw »

It would be nice if the time remaining in a round was displayed in the game info on the "my games" screen. I am a little neurotic and have to keep going into the game to see how long until my next move. I realize this is unimportant but thought it might be a nice feature.

i agree, it would be nice. Not necessarily high priority, but if its not too difficult to do, it would be a very nice feature.

not a bad idea. Of course better still would be to list games in the order of when your time will run out, and then in order of how many players until your turn (for sequential games anyway... sure you could calculate freestyle in there somehow).

Good idea - if identified both how long an opponents round has to go and also of course your own.

I'd place it higher in the priority.

Show Round on My Games (merged) [Done]

<-------------------->

<Subject>: Round # on "My Games" screen

<Body>:

Suggestion Idea: I think it would be good to have on the My Games screen somewhere (maybe under the game #?) what round the game is currently in

Specifics: It can be small and being that it's a number generally no higher than 99 wont' take up much room on the screen to add to the clutter

Why it is needed: Often i have many games going usually, sometimes of the same map and even same people (tournaments, etc), so it's nice to refresh my mind with "this is a round 3 turn" or "this is a round 35 turn" before i even click in as your strategies change and you can know which game was which if you wanted to concentrate on one certain one first...

You should edit your post and put it in "the form". Otherwise there will be a mod here real soon saying something smug about how this isn't using the form on the sticky blah blah blah.

I second your suggestion ...

So, please edit your post so that it is in the right form and the CC team can consider it ;)

I personally like the idea because it would be a great help for tournament organiser (or at least to me personally). It would be easier way to follow how far the games are and how fast they move on. Also, in the tournaments where the number of round is used in scoring or something it would be a huge help.

But I think that this change/add-on has a really low priority because not many people benefit from it and it's not that important to add.

But I personally like the idea :)

Round number listing on mygames table

Post by danalan »

Concise description:
  • List Round number on mygames table

Specifics:
  • The mygames table has a lot of useful information, but lacks one crucial bit for people who have many games going at once: there is no easy way to determine which round the game is on.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • People with many games, particularly on the same map, will find it easier to tell their various games apart

Round number in the "My Games" page

Post by neanderpaul14 »

In the "My Games" page where your list of current active games is listed I believe it would be most beneficial to show which round it is in the game. As many people have many of the exact same game type up with many of the same players joining them. This would help a player ascertain which game they are going into. This would be helpful if looking for a specific game.

Suggestion: Add current round to "My Games" information

Post by Orwell »

Concise description:
  • Add current round to "My Games" information

Specifics:
  • adds "Round X" in My Games before "Time Remaining"

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • helpful way to distinguish similar matches.
  • it's a simple addition.

lack, would it be too much to ask you to add this to the page that shows completed games as well? It would be a huge help to the tournament organizers who have to track which round a game finished in. Please, please, please! :)

Game Finder. But both would work just as well.

EDIT: Eliminated page too possibly if that's not too much to ask.

Yeah, Game Finder results. Then if an organizer needs to they can quickly see who won the game, and which round it finished. Would work wonders for many of the sports leagues type of tournaments that have overtime implications and such.

Neat. I just refreshed my games (something I must do fifty times a day at least) and there it was, so I came here and read about it. I like it.
