It is cool as an addition rather than replacement. Good art work. I would prefer to play on yours.

It would be a great challenge as some are so small.
I think there are about 195... THAT would be a fun map
Heres a list over at wikipedia:

ok, pinch me... this must be a dream... i think i'm drooling... BIG map.... now if you can just fit army circles on all those countries, and maybe add some stuff in the Arctic and Antarctic...

I can even split the big territories into east and west or north and south to raise the count if that is preferred.
just one concern - the word "canons" here brings to mind the word "bombardment", which would ruin an amazing map. PLEASE don't go there...
just initial reaction, and i don't really think you were gonna go there...
anyway, it could be neat to add Atlantis... do you know where it would be geographically? sounds like an... amusing... idea, if it's not too unrealistic for the map... depends if you want a real "world map" or just to add more and more terits.
anyway, i'm definitely supporting this! i'll be glad to offer any thoughts i have.
best of luck!

Here is how big a world map will have to be, in order to get all the countries of the world.
I'm game.
Nope I guess photobucket wont let me show it in that scale. Try to imagine it 20% larger.

Re: world 2.2
I dont see a point in having a 2.1 map and a 2.2 map that are identical except for the design. If the original can be improved in appearance I would rather see that as the only map. I suppose a map of the world is best representative of the site although, with some creativity I bet someone could make a pretty sweet map using the Conquer Club Star in it that would be a cool map to symbolize the site. -js-

Re: world 2.2
I like it!
I also like someone's suggestion there be other additions to the game play that make it unique. I suppose in the realm of bonuses.
Secret tunnels where you have to have so many territories to get in.
Bridges that require a toll such as giving up a card or some troops.
How about the ability to trade one of your own territories with someone else?
Airports to fly to another continent that is fast: here to there in one turn.
Ferries that take longer with connecting spaces.
In the frozen north do you lose troops to sub zero temperatures?
Do you lose troops in the heat of deserts?

We are currently not accepting and REVAMP requests. We also tend to avoid exact copy maps from being available for live play.

Re: world 2.2
btw i tried just seeing if a world map with ALL of the countries would work it doesn't as Europe's countries are to small, North America's fine, South America's fine Africa isn't with those two small countries in Africa, Australia should be fine, i'm guessing asia would be a problem as well

If these map go to rewamp stage, its these mean that he lost hes privilege to use these map size?
Re: world 2.2
there's a thread in map ideas where someone suggested drawing a zoom box for the areas that are too tightly packed.
fills some of the dead space of the oceans and allows you to use the real countries with their real borders. it should be possible, if you want to transform this map into that one.
I don't know if that would take you around Andy's post.....

Re: world 2.2
I do not mind a fair critique, But you are just plain wrong about the textures. The land areas all have either texture A, (raised), or, texture B, (lower in relief to texture A). These two textures are to denote the bonus value and game play of World 2.1. This feature of Zims map is a good one, and 2.2 just helps to clarify this. Is there anything else that you do not like, and remember, this map is NOT intended as a replacement for 2.1.rjz115dude wrote:personally, dont really like this map...It's kinda inconsitent in it's textures...dont need another world here at CC.

Re: world 2.2
I can do it, but the map needs to be larger than photobucket will support. not much larger, just about 20% or so. Maybe I am doing it wrong, But If anyone can solve this for me, I would love to make a REAL world map with all the countries.ustus wrote:miniwally wrote:just have a shot at doing all the countries even if its to big i'd like to see one

You've tried putting lines pointing to the territories, and having the army circles off in the ocean somewhere?
There are a bunch of image hosting sites out there, you'll probably be able to find one that works.

Re: world 2.2
Care to qualify that my ZEP-brother. In what way ? I have corrected a couple of issues that 2.1 has. Artistically 2.2 is better. If you do not agree with that, Then tell me why you do not agree. Otherwise, you are just coming off like a person trying to protect the honor of his old car. Yes it is still a good car perhaps, but the new model is out, and it is an improvement. If you do not agree with that, please share your reasons.LED ZEPPELINER wrote:honestly, the current world 2.1 is better than this map

Re: world 2.2
What your map is lacking is space. There is no way you will fit territory names and 3-digit numbers in those small areas. A lot of World Map games go to 3 digits also, so it needs to be considered. You have too much wasted space.

It appears as though you may have traced the original map to create yours. For some reason when I look at them separate, yours looks smaller? Anyway - o well.

Yes, I was attempting a revamp so naturally I used it as a template. I tried to make some of the smallest countries a tad larger and also addressed some of the confusing borders, Scandinavia and S.E Europe for example.RjBeals wrote:What your map is lacking is space. I think that after it has the text it will not seem smaller. While I'm on it, the text over the water will be white. Black for most of the land areas

you should change it so EVERy country is attacked to a bonus, like maybe there should be a "eastern europe" bonus
