Because anyone pays much attention to polls? Half the people that vote in them do not take the time to read much more than the title.

Re: Just for Fun Games
1. Separating ranked and unranked games... that defeats the purpose of rank. Rank is how good you are at playing the game. If you separate that, then people will only play on 1 single type of game for rank, and then play all other games as unranked. Right now, if I choose to specialize that much, I give up 99% of the good things about the site. If this suggestion comes through, specialists will be giving up absolutely nothing.
2. If you care so much about score that you do not join some games because you do not want to lose your points, then you have to really rethink a lot of things. If you want to join a game with a friend, go ahead. If you want to join a flat rate 2 man doodle and a cook has started one, you might as well find enjoyment in CC and play it rather than stick to one game type.
3. Unranked games will cause a lot of problems.
Firstly there is the problem of freemium members (not all, but some is enough). You have only 4 games that you can play... you join some unranked games, and every time you no longer have a chance, you simply suicide into the player you like least and then you can play another game. Would be fun to be that other player, Wouldn't it?
Secondly, not all the people on the site are, well... nice. In unranked games, if I don't like you, all I have to do is join your game, throw the game by attacking only you the entire match, resulting in an unpleasant experience for you, and no cost for me. There are a lot of people that do not like someone else on the site, and a heck of a lot of do this since they accomplish their goal of giving you a bad time yet do not lose their points and become cooks like they would these days.
I am not saying that people would stop playing to win, no doubt many people would continue to do so. But even if this is a minority that you encounter every 1 in 20 games, do you think you'll have much fun having someone like I just described above do that to you that often?

Exactly what neon said, Rank is supposed to be a measure of skill, it's not like betting in a poker game.

I read this thread from start to finish. Your "comments" were only regarding farming and my search skills. No suggestions for the suggestion

Obviously, my comments on your search skills were correct.
The page right before this, all you had to do was scroll up to find this post. I would think that These are comments pointing out problems in the suggestion. I don't seem to find anything in them to do with farming.

Exactly. If you can't come up with a solution, or some else does not, then these are still serious problems with the suggestion.

Most top players already specialize in one game type. People have fun when they win, and lots of people only play game types that they can win. They don't care about the "99%" right now, and they won't when unranked games come out, either. In fact, people could find that they are good at other types of games, and start playing even more.

Like I said, some people have fun when they win and when their score is high. They don't have to "rethink" anything. Maybe you find losing to a cook who gets a mixed set on Doodle Earth fun, but most of us don't.

Some freemiums do that now... what's your point? Or did you just fail to realize that?

Nope. The probability would be lower if you use the foe list. They're wasting their time, too.

how about unrated games
for training purpsoses? i realize unrated games may create more games, but so what? Im sure the new server can handle it. It might also create more paid members....
I suggest a check box to make games rated or not

Two things:
First, use the form, don't just delete it. It's there for a reason.
Second, use the search button, it has been suggested and rejected.

Re: Practice games
You found a way to practice and try new things without risking ending up as a potato peeler... I think it's a really good idea...
PS - Erick I'd play you more often because I enjoy it... but from 6 pts away from the swords I'm still struggling in this bad losing spiral... and we both know my stats against you where I lose 2/3 of the games... but we're on the way to make a good team playing together.
