I think that's the problem with some of the maps here... The graphics are so fancy it gets harder to read the the armies off of the map... and I think that matters the most. If you've got a great looking map, but it's unplayable because of the graphics, nobody will play it.
What is battledome... Do you know the real-life game lasertag, or paintball? See battledome as an arena where to show your skills in that game.

I stand by the fact that for the most part (and hopefully even more so soon), graphics will play a larger role in the process of map making. CC is getting a large influx of maps, which is great. But now that we have the quantity, I think it's time we can up the quality of maps, in both play and visual appeal. Graphics should play a major role--they help the map make a lasting impression. Of course good game play is always a must, and visual appeal is dandy, but most would rather play a map that has the best of both worlds, so why not try to make all maps that way? Both areas can be readily done, with time. It all comes down to a matter of time, and how much value you really put into a map.

Not to mention the variety of maps. Most of the ones on the site are still following the same old "traditional-style map of a real political region" formula. New maps like Tamriel, the London Underground, and the Seven Seas are a definite move in the right direction.

I don't think I will finish this map due to lack of time. If anyone is interested in completing it, I can send the Gimp layered files by e-mail. Just mail me at SunTsu@gmail.com

Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."
