Foe Listing

Post by AussieLighthorse »

I believe that the 'foe listing' is open to abuse ..some times when i beat a higher ranking person they simply put me on their "foe list"..its a drag..players should have to fill out a form to be scrutinised as to their reason for doing this before they can put someone on their foe list and it should only be active for a couple of weeks..if you cant handle a player..as in the real world ..well tough..just get used to it and join another game.

This will never happen. The mods don't want to waste their time on that. Also, the foe list is yours to use as you see fit. If someone wants to foe you, that's their decision to make. Don't concern yourself with the player that foe'd you, when there are 20,000 other users you could play with/against.

I dislike this idea greatly. Personally, I generally foe people for abusive language or gross abuse of the game, so I see no reason why I should have to be subjected to that sort of thing when it is so easily avoided (at least, from repeat offenders).

I understand your frustration at being foe'd because the other player is essentially a coward (based only on your side of the situation), but there are a lot of high-ranking players who WON'T do that...so keep playing.

When you suicide into a weaker person to give someone the win rather than attempt to even out the play it's justified. I just added you ([player]AussieLighthorse[/player]) to my foe list for doing just that. Why would anyone want to play with you when you are simply there to ruin the game?
Get used to it? How about learn to count in the log & use it rather than just attack the first person you see?

Aussie, don't let this muppet ruin the game for you, I'm afraid it's an occupational hazard of playing games on CC that occasionally you'll run into a bad apple. I suspect I know who it is and I'm on his foe list too for kicking his butt, subsequently I added him to my foe list later on after some heated exchanges and an uncompleted challenge. Don't let it get to you, there's plenty of other players to have fun with who won't complain bitterly if you make a mistake or a single bad call. Just add the offending player to your foe list if they're that much of a problem and you won't have to worry about them any more. ;)

If I played risk with some friends (unscored), and I attacked them mercilessly at the start of the game, then near the end when they realize defeat, or are just overwhelmed with anger, they could potentially suicide into me, just to hurt me, not to gain anything. I don't quite see what the problem is with that. He still has a motive in the game, which is to get revenge.

There are over 300,000 users on this site. If you somehow piss off so many people that you can't play with anyone, then I'd look not at the foe system for the root of the problem.

This thread may act as an advertisement for additional players to foe you as well.
Your track record, being a cook with 3179 complete games, isn't very appealing.
But don't worry, you can always catch a few games with Artimis.

This is a bad idea. The moderators don't need to waste their time and/or resources on deciding if it is fair for someone to foe you. Why should someone have to justify why they want to foe someone else? There are over 20,000 other players to go up against. Move on, and don't worry about the ones who don't want to "feel your wrath!"

If you can't find anyone to play with, then it's likely you that is the problem. It would take ALOT of work to get on even a significant % of the over 300k users on the system.
