Obviously, Jeff and others have given their passwords out in the past and now their settings have been changed. Never give your passwords out to anyone. This is a recent MSN conversation I have just had with Jeff and JCKing where they told me about this issue and I pretended to be Head of Security at Norton working with Lack to look into it:

JCKing says:
yes
JCKing says:
he can
JCKing says:
Who is Cameron
JCKing says:
Why
JCKing says:
he's already gained permanent access into Jeff's account
JCKing says:
Jeff had even changed the pw
Cameron says:
Im Head of Security at Norton System works
Cameron says:
Im working with Lackattack on this
JCKing says:
well
JCKing says:
ok
JCKing says:
nice
JCKing says:
Yea
JCKing says:
maxatstuy gained permanent access to Jeff's account
Cameron says:
JCKing, in order to test I need your pw
JCKing says:
ok
JCKing says:
*******
JCKing says:
wat is Cameron testing?
Cameron says: I'm changing your password you noob!

In short, you reap what you sow. If you dont give your password out then you dont get too many problems you cant control.

Haha! That's great! I've always enjoyed MSN convos with [player]JesusReigns[/player]. That's [player]JCKing[/player] for all those who don't know he's a multi.

Personally, I find a bit of social engineering goes a long way. In as much as it's quite irritating for Jeff to have Max manipulate his settings in order to maintain account access it wouldnt have been an issue if he hadnt of provided his password to others which he admitted in the same MSN conversation, in fact JCKing also admitted this as well. In a way I admire Max for this little bit of impertinence.

You are missing the point here.... Jeff had a new password that nobody knew... Then this hacker was still able to access it.

Personally I think the mods will find the "hacker" hiding behind the grassy knoll. It will be interesting to see when this investigation is complete whether this Oswald hacker guy was just a patsy to misdirect attention elsewhere.

I am not sure the password was ever leaked, due the fact this person can access this account without knowledge of a new password.

come on bruce.. the password was given to the now alleged hacker. i don't buy that this one kid is able to hack an account on CC, and can not find any account of it ever happening. people use passwords, period. even benjis_widow found a folder of passwords to screw over benji's old clan... i think someone is trying to deflect attention away from the fact that a member of his clan gave his password to the person that is causing all this trouble... let's all stop playing innocent and just be honest about what is going on...-0

..Which would require your Routers Access Ports to accept anyone to access them. Which means, in order to hack someone, either A) your internet is extremely terrible and you're vulnerable to any 5th grader that can use google and knows the workd "hack", or B) Jeff opened himself up to this, making him extremely unintelligent in this situation.

And with how JCKing is just giving out passwords, doesn't seem very unlikely that this isn't fully this "hackers" fault.

Have you read anything? Router ports have very little to do with hacking. I guess you would not know anything about that since you bring up googling it. LOL

BTW what does JCKing have to do with this other than some MSN logs with his name in it. He did not have jeff's password.

Have you tried to change the email address? Maybe it keeps sending the new password to an email address that the hacker has access to.

One wonders if these words from Rashid haven't proven to be chillingly prescient.

But then this clan of Touch No Touch does have quite a few members who were in the clan of the member the thread above is all about. Along with one who openly states 'he is my best friend on the site' (that is, of course, if he isn't yet another multi himself).

2009-02-15 06:31:06 - Jeff Hardy: dont worry though bruce, your account is safe...

2009-02-15 10:55:45 - Jeff Hardy: max you tool

Alright, so I'm looking into this - a few things though:

Jeff, change your PW, and your email, then PM me when you have done it.

If your account is being "hacked", it's most likely from your side rather than ours, so run a virus scan, update windows and make sure you have a firewall installed. All the basics of course.

I'll keep looking into this, but I have blocked your account from creating new games temporarily, just so nobody dumps all your points ;)

And imcjb - I'll get to you later. Pretending to be representing the site to get someone's password? If it's true, you'll be lucky if you don't get banned from the site.
