I would love to be Lapidus!
I will play on Pearl Harbor and WWII Europe (the time that they are currently trapped in but not the right setting. Unless Daniel does something crazy!)

With Daniel who knows? He could turn the donkey wheel and they would end up in Iceland circa the year 3000.

who progresses? How is the standings gauged?

A player is eliminated when he has lost his character, location and time period. Aka. lost all of his games without winning any of his opponents. A few scenarios could play out:
1) You win all of your current games: you move on with the same maps.
2) You win your opponent's game (in a category) but lose yours: you move on but switch that map with your opponent.
3) You lose both games in one category but win something in at least one other category: you move on but lose your map in that category. In the following round, you have to beat your opponent twice on his map to "steal" that map from him.
4) Only when you have no more maps are you eliminated.
Does this make sense?
It goes until there is only one survivor.

Hi JoJo.
I must confess, I am a little bit confused about the scoring system...
...could you give and illustrated example please.
Thanks,
TC.

Re: Lost: Where and When are we? - Round 1
Okay so here are the possible scenarios and results.
1. If you win all of your maps, you will move on to the next round with the same maps.
2. Your "who" - you win/Opponent's "who" - you lose
Your "where" - you win/opponent's "where" - you lose
Your "when" - you lose/opponent's "when" - you win
You move on and switch with your "when" map with your opponent
(the same applies with all the other categories, if you win your opponent's game but lose yours, you switch)
3. Your "who" - you win/Opponent's "who" - you lose
Your "where" - you win/Opponent's "where" - you lose
Your "when" - you lose/Opponent's "when" - you lose
You move on, but you have no "when" map. In the next round, you have to play your new opponent's "when" map twice. The only way you can "steal" it from him is if you win it both times. Then he will have to continue without that map provided he still has at least one map.
4. If your opponent wins both "who" maps, your poor character dies in that episode. You are still alive in the tournament as long as you have a "where" or "when" or both.
5. You lose possession of all of your maps and don't steal or switch with your opponent, you are eliminated.
The game goes until there is one player. That player is the winner of the game and his character (at that time) is the sole survivor of the game.
I hope this clarifies things.

I know!!! That was a major shock! I loved Locke's reaction of confusion...Charles Widmore?! And Jin is alive!
Re: Lost: Where and When are we? - Round 1
71/78 games completed
Re: Lost: Where and When are we? - Round 1
ok I won all except my sun map and my when map.

Re: Lost: Where and When are we? - Round 1
I'm thinking about making all the games foggy next round. I feel like this follows the theme better and some of the games...feudal for instance, play better with fog. But I'm only going to do this if there are no objections. So anyone against fog?
Re: Lost: Where and When are we? - Round 1
Episode 1 has come to a close. There were a lot of deaths in the premier episode. Characters died all over the place. I think it was from a rogue bomb like Jughead.
We also said farewell to our first player, Willam-Wallace.
Round 2 will start tomorrow, after I hear if anyone doesn't want fog in their game.

Yeah though I kind of figured he was still alive.
But why, why, oh why did they have to kill off Charlotte, I am so going to miss those big pretty blue eyes, that long curly red hair, the cute English accent and especially that tight sweat soaked halter top.

I really like this tournament, though I have to confess I find the scoring as confusing as the show

I did too but it was great to have confirmation! As a female (JoJo = Joanna), I didn't really care for Charlotte. Sawyer with his shirt off (all the time) fills the hotness requirement and Desmond has the accent!

Lol! I'm hoping that everyone gets it as we go along. Kind of like LOST (they better answer all the mysteries by the end!)
