Another option more or less in line with 3 in a row is: 3 of last 3; 4 of last 5; 5 of last 7; 6 of last 9; 7 of last 11; 8 of last 13; etc. So 3+1+1+1.... to win out of 3+2+2+2....
Theoretically it could still go on forever, but that is not very likely

I have 2 fully created tournaments that I would like to be seen ran in CC but I don't have time nor wish to do it myself right now so whoever wants can pick them up. I've also created excel sheets for them so just message me and I'll send them over if you wish. Also, if you wish to change something then go ahead. They are both quite simple tournaments, need updating once or twice a week, maximum 30 minutes a week.

Jungle has reached CC! Unless it has always been here but hidden, waiting its time to come out. Anyway, now it's here, Lions are sleeping and Hippo along with Dog are inviting everybody to become the next Leader of Jungle. Are you clever enough? Do you have enough stamina to hold on weeks, even months? Are you strong enough to fight yourself from battle to battle until all opponents have dropped out and there's only you standing? Come! PROVE IT!

Setup of this tournament will be very similar to Snowy Rock Races but with some improvements to make it stronger and more reasonable. Make sure that you read through everything and use the form to sign up.

Setup

Overall I'm looking for 18 players.
Approximately once per week (depends how fast you'll be playing) a bunch of games will made. Not a random number of games but a formula will be used (number of players * 3 / 2). That way everybody will play 3 games (on some weeks some players play a game or two less) and win/lose points according to the scoring below. If your score reaches zero (or goes below it) then you are not worthy to be next Leader of Jungle and drop out of the tournament.

Winning the tournament

There are 2 winning conditions:
1. Reach 90 points (that would mean that you've collected 50% of all the available points)
2. If point 1 won't happen before there's 4 players left in the tournament then a double elimination bracket will be played between those 4 to decide the winner.

Settings

Standard, Sequential, Casual 1v1 Singles
Map: different in each battle (check the map pool below)
Cards: Escalating
Fortifications: Chained
Weather: Sunny (No FoW)

Scoring

Everybody starts with 10 points.
Points disappear or move from one player to another.
Losing a game (week 1-10): 3 points from loser to winner
Losing a game (week 11-20): 5 points from loser to winner
Losing a game (week 21-30): 7 points from loser to winner
etc
Not joining after 1st message: -1 point
Not joining after a reminder: -2 points
Not joining after 2nd reminder: -3 points
Joining more than 3 games: -2 points per opponent (wins don't count, each opponent receives 2 points)

Map Pool

• For each battle, a map from this list will be used.
• If for some reason we run out of maps then I will add more crazy maps to the pool.

I would like to run a tournament as I participate in many and yet have never organised one myself.

What I would like to know is if the following format is workable when starting games.

The idea is for a blind date tournament, maps and settings are not an issue just how people join the games.

Would it be possible for me to have 32 players 1v1 =16 games.

All games would need to be auto join games with the list of 16 games going out to all the players.

Each player joins one game - being an auto join game they wouldn't know who they were playing against (nor would I) - hence the blind date bit

If the game is full, then the players choose another one of the 16 games till they find one with a space.

The tournament would be blind date all the way to the semi finals.

Is this auto game blind date suggestion workable/ allowed.

Because people could search the game numbers from the auto join link and therefore find a way of viewing who had joined a certain game, I decided what I wanted to attain here was not achievable.

I will however play my part one day and get a tournament organised.
Perhaps for the occasion of my 3000th game - or my 1000th win.

Wrexham, something you could do instead would be to randomly select opponents (names in a hat, dice rolls, whatever). Not quite the same thing, but sort of in a general sense.

play a schedule of 50-80 games with an emphasis on your own division with very games against the opposite conference.

each playoff round is best of 7

initially i wanted it be world 2.1 unlimited, fog, escalating but not everyone will be interested in that so each team can select their home field. the regular season will be based on home/away games and there will be home field advantage in the playoffs.

it will be an ongoing thing where we keep a record.

The 4 remaining top teams from each conference will be seeded from 1 to 4. 1 will play 4 and 2 will play 3. The winners will move on to the second round.

Second round – the division winner with the best record will play the lowest seeded winner from the previous round. The other division winner will play the other winner.

Conference championship – the winners of the two previous rounds will play here to determine the winner of the conference.

Finals Round – the Conference winners will play to determine the season’s League Champion.

I'd like to see a tuorney for SFC's & lower!!! Set up as 1x3 or 1x4, maybe Random maps to force us to learn more maps... 2 games at a time so freebies can play... standard, Auto, Escalating, Sunny, Chained (or unlimited).... 30-40 some odd players.... Please let me know if you get this set up!!!!

As a tournament idea: How about Tournament of the Forgotten Lands, a simple 32/64 person knockout, playing on all those traditional style maps that you never seem to see on the game finder anymore, E.G. North America, Arctic, Cairns Coral Coast.

A breathe of new life into some older tried and tested maps, i'd organise it myself, but i am going on holiday on the 30th, though maybe when i get back, but until then, the idea is going free for anyone who wants to adopt it?
