See what happens when you forget? A certain something stops you from IMing him later
Anyways, I've chatted with wcac and we'll get the .psd ASAP.
gimil how is the whole re-authorizing (hehe that's a pun

Re: Switzerland v43--Novemer 21--PAGE 1+37 [D,GP]
The Brig, Uri, Ticino are looks a bit confusing. Does Ticino border Uri? If not wouldnt it make the game a bit more interesting if they did? And does North East Switzerland really deserve the 5, or should it be 4 like the rest? I like the open style of this map, with lots of continent borders.
Re: Switzerland v43--Novemer 21--PAGE 1+37 [D,GP]
Uri and Ticino do connect!
Sankt Gothard Pass is one of the major pass in Europe.
The control of this pass between northern Europe and Italy is one of the reason Switzerland was founded in 1291.

- move some borders around

- clarify Thurgau-Scheffhausen connection
- clarify Bienne-Bern connection
- get rid of mt. dots
- extend Vaud mts. a bit North

Guys, jsut my opinion but....
You have teh gameplay stamp for this map and it is close to being graphics stamped. I know pamoa you want the map to be as geographically accurate as possible. However it seems that Swiss geography balances the map to less favourable gameplay. It may not be perfect but I suggest we go with what we have and try and get this moving to the forge. Kap has earned it with this map and it is unfair how long we has been sitting here.

As it is for is fine but not with more mountain in the north...
and btw the geography is not very accurate as the river design is a bit invented.

Pamoa I think we are going to have to sacrafice for geographic accuracy for the sake of the gameplay and getting this map finished. Unless the geography can be changed without messing the gameplay.

I'm gonna get this moving in a few days.
I'm figuring out Kap's PSD right now, learning how he did stuff.
Shouldn't take too long.

I'm cleaning up the graphics a bit. Its still the same map, no major changes, just making things more visible and a bit easier to understand.
to-do list
1. change mountains.
2. change river.
3. fix all the confusing borders.
I'll try to get an update out tomorrow night.
But you guys know how updates go with maps I create. So maybe it'll be the next day or the day after.

Re: Switzerland v43--Novemer 21--PAGE 1+37 [D,GP]
Here's a bit of an update.
I cleaned up parts of the map that were bugging me, I think its a bit easier to read now.
THE MOUNTAINS AND THE RIVER ARE NOT SHOWN ON THIS VERSION. I'M JUST POSTING IT TO SEE IF YOU GUYS ARE OK WITH WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR. THE MOUNTAINS AND RIVER WILL BE PUT BACK LATER (and they will look better)
^because I know someone is going to post asking why there aren't any mountains^
here's my image:
EDIT: I just realized that none of my territory names are centered above the glow that is supposed to be behind them. oops
[bigimg]http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r315/wcaclimbing/example2.png[/bigimg]
and here's Kap's original to compare mine with.

Nice map.
I was hoping to make a Switzerland map. You beat me to it.
I may try to develop another that incorporates Switzerland as a significant theme. I'm looking forward to playing yours in the meantime.
