If anyone wants to help I might be able to get the Layered Image from L.P. But until then I guess its on hold.

If you're able to get the PSD file I would be happy to help knock this one out... I'd like to keep my sub-forum clean. ;)

Unit_2, if all you need is to adjust some army circle positioning and center some army coordinates, I am pretty sure if you can get me the PSD I can help you out. It shouldn't take long.

Oaktown said this is what needs done.
1. It is impossible to see the region color of Ile de Mad. through the army circle.
2. Some army coordinates are still off.
3. Laurentides and Montreal army circles are poorly placed and could be confusing to players.
4. An XML check is required.

some questions relating this
1. this is only on the small right? quese on the large it looks rather clear.
2. which ones?
3. i dont really get these there pretty clear to me but plz say in what way to solve the problem
4. obvious :D

I think that the percieved problem lies in the fact that the army circle for Laurentides is to the immediate left of the territory name Montreal, and the army circle for Montreal is to the immediate right of Laurentides. I think that its pretty clear what belongs to what, but to make everyone happy you could move the name Laurentides down and to the left a smidge and put the army circle smack dab in the middle of the territory (or even a little lower) just above the territ name, then that would eliminate the confusion as the names aand army circles would no longer line up as they do know. As for Iles de la Madeleine, if you move the army circle off the island all together to the immediate right of the "la" in the terriory name the territory will become more visible and the attacking route from Cape Breton and said territory will also be more visible. I think this would help on both the large and small map versions.

I think brendan is correct about everything

[bigimg]http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s113/prophetlone/CC/gulf/armycenteredL.png[/bigimg]

in short, put the Laurentides army circle where the text now appears and move the text for Laurentides down and to the left. [this moves the Lauren label away from the Montreal circle and the Lauren circle away from the Montreal label]

AND, the Iles de la Madeleine is a problem on BOTH versions of the map. Move the army circle up and to the right of the "la"

While I agree with you that the light blue color is 'visible' on the larger map, I don't think that it's as 'clear' as you let on. In my opinion, the light blue is overpowered by the the white of the territory name and the gray of the army circle making the exposed portion of the island nearly blend in with the darker blue of the surrounding water. Also, where the gray army circle covers a portion of the island it changes the light blue color altogether. And yes if you carefully inspect the map, you can see which continent it belongs to, but a cursory glance might overlook it because it is so cluttered in there.

By moving the army circle off the island (and maybe placing one extra white dot where the army circle currently sits from Cape Breton to Iles de la Mag) you essentially frame the island by its name, army circle and attacking routes rather than cover it over. Further, having the contrast of the dark blue of the water surrounding the entire perimeter of the light blue island should go far to making Iles de la Madeleine very visible.

I agree with Brendon on Iles. Truthfully I can't tell if its teal or green (like the edge of Prince Edward) or which continent you're putting it with from the coloring in the current map.

Thanks for the praise yeti, but my comments with all be for naught if this map continues to collect dust... From what I can tell, other than WWII Europe, this is the oldest map in the final forge and it still only has its gameplay, graphics and draft stamps... As a resident of the area this map portrays, I was really hoping to play a wack of games on it before my premium membership runs out in June. I know that everyone involved has busy schedules outside of making maps for an online world domination game, but if all that's left to do is shifting a few army circles and such, can't we get a move on?

-List for L.P_
1. Title
2. Re-draw Baie-James so that it connects with Mauricie (and separates Saguenay from Abitibi)
3. Change Nova Scotia to N.S. & P.E.I.
4. Move Iles de la Madeleine's army circle to the side to see it better

there's a small region south of mauricie called centre-du-Québec might add it as well ? that is where the bridge land.

Faced with the options of either putting this map in the recycle bin or doing something about it, i have chosen the later course of action. Unit_2 has informed me that the PSD file seems to have been lost, so I'm working from the last image posted without army circles, which was months ago. I have made the following changes:

• The army circle has been moved away from Ile de mad.
• Ile de mad' has been made a bit larger to better indicate color.
• The border has been redrawn between Bai James and Saguenay, as was the plan months ago.
• The laurentides title and army circle have been moved down for clarity.

There were some other suggestions that I didn't follow entirely - something about the title? - and one suggestion about changing a region name which, frankly, seems quite minor and not worth the trouble it will be. These changes took about 30 minutes working from scratch and were pretty simple. If there's anything else that needs to be addressed I'll see what I can do.

Hopefully somebody still has the XML and can update the coordinates? And I really hope I don't have to re-size army circles for the small map - it'd be so much easier to just crunch the entire map down.
