So when you first joined CC, chances are the first map you played was Classic. It's what you knew, it gets you used to the interface, it's quick and it's painless. Well. It's not as painful as some.
So my question to you - depending on when you joined, there was a few dozen maps or the full array you have available today. Which was the one you fell in love with? We'll split it into two categories: Simple and Complex.
SImple: Great Lakes. I think this was the second or third game I ever played, and it really opened my eyes to the possibilities of Conquer Club. Being a Northeast Corridor lifer, seeing my hometown of Syracuse and all the lakes that have dumped all that snow on me over the years was one of those nice little joys. Plus it was relatively straightforward, even down to the Australia-corner that is Minnesota. I don't care what anyone says, Duluth is no place to start building an empire.
Complex: King of the Mountains. Oh my good lord why is everyone coming at me from every angle. Hey nobody's safe anywhere! Oh this is neat. I'm gonna run roughshod. No wait now I'm getting run roughshod upon. I think I'll play this map a hundred times.
Honorable mention goes to World 2.1, but let's face it, everyone loves that one. Eight gazillion things to conquer? I AM KING OF ANTARCTICA? Nobody's gonna hate on World 2.1. Reminds me of an old shareware game, World Empire II, which was essentially this only with every country in the world at the time. It was absurd.
Alright folks let's hear it. Walk down memory lane.
