I won't join the chorus of "Where's the ......option".

Here's some of my all-time favourites though -

Two Brit: The Prisoner (surreal 60's classic) and Sharpe (the Sean Bean Napoleonic war series)
Two US: Due South (Canadian mountie in Chicago) and Quantum Leap (one of the very few pieces of TV/movie SF that ever worked for me)
Two animation: Johnny Quest (the amazing original, not the pretty-good 90's remake) and Batman - the Animated Adventures (Not the current version, the 90's version)
Two comedy: Black Adder (especially the WWI series) and Spitting Image

All the otheres are fine shows, so I might seek out the missing ones on the basis that we oviously share some tastes.

My guess on the three you haven't heard of would be:
1 Cosmos - A show on public TV hosted by Carl Sagan that used to come on Sunday nights in the 80's. My mom and I never missed an episode. We even bought the soundtrack. The show is available on DVD but expensive.

2 Mr. Show - Was A show on HBO in the 90's with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. I highly recommend checking out the DVDs. They only had 4 seasons.

3 Night Flight - A late night show in the 80's. They played movies, videos, and short features. It aired on Friday and Saturday night. They played a lot of cool and bizarre stuff.

My guess for the one you've heard of but haven't seen would be 30 Rock.

I assume the office in the poll is the american version.. Horrible show, absolutely devoid of actual comedy.

House is great.

Quick question - eurika? Is that supposed to be Eureka's Castle? If so, +1000 for panache, but I'm not sure that really belongs in the pantheon of great television.

My list is basically quirks list, except sub in South Park for the Young Ones and maybe the Daily Show for Cosmos (any reason I haven't heard of these?)
