Front Page Image Suggestion

I really think that it could have an image that switches map every 2 seconds. As soon as viewers notice that it's changing, if they want to see what they'll be playing on, they'll keep watching. If they're not interested, they'll just see the first few in the rotation... also not bad.

Something I just thought about:
All of us that play CC only stay on the homepage for as long as it takes us to log on, but the new players might be reading the front page, and so would stay on that page for significantly longer.

first time i visited the page, directed to join by jbrettlip, i closed it after looking at the page. i didn't read anything, it just was bland and didn't look cool. i told him i didn't join, and he called me up and made me join under threat of physical harm.. after i joined, and looked at the maps, i thought it was very cool. had i stumbled onto the site on my own, i would have never joined. i just think it isn't very appealing. the site and maps are amazing, the page you land on does not reflect that in any way.-0

What I meant by that idea was that the maps could flip every few seconds, and new people might see them anyway; it doesn't have to be every .1 seconds. You're right that the front page should be revamped, I just thought I should bring that up.

In the interest of showcasing all of the variety we have on site, how about we keep a few constant maps (like USA, World 2.1, and Classic Art), and alter the other ones shown every 2 weeks or so? Keep it to a fairly small 7-10 maps, but then a mapmaker will be able to have his/her moment of glory ever so often (see, MY map is on the homepage!).
