In normal freestyle the whole of the team can make their moves at any time in this variation (partial freestyle) 1 person on each side may make a move and it must be returned before continuing
E.g. 2v2v2v2. One player (it can be either) on every team must make a move before the second player can take their turn for the team. Note that the teams can still go in any order and if they end the previous round they cannot begin the new one
In 4v4s this would mean that each team can have their players play in any order so it could be 18263547 round one but 46253718 the next round.
Specifics:
Two players from the same side cannot play at the same time and they must wait for all other teams to play
The timelimits would have to be changed for this. Round 1 would have to be split into X number of sub-rounds (where X is the number of players on a team)
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Adds another layer of strategy, you must decide who takes their turn first and who takes it last
I like it. A lot of people like freestyle because they get to play their turns faster, however other people take advantage of the system and, as described by their own words, "Rape" the other team. The original freestyle type of game could still be there, maybe this new game type could be put between sequential and freestyle, as it would be kind of a hybrid between the two. Chances are not many people would use Freestyle for trips and quads, but hey, maybe that's not a bad thing. And the "oh, no, it limits gameplay" that is so often used by farmers would be nonexistent, since it does not limit gameplay, it actually enhances it providing more possibilities for a more fair gaming environment.
yes, but this provides a faster gameplay for those who dislike the speed of sequential and fairer gameplay for those who dislike the techniques in team freestyle

The main complaint I have about freestyle is a potential technique that exists and I find frustrating - i believe i have already seen it used. by making your turn last and then waiting around for someone to begin their turn you can begin your next turn as soon as they have and cash in any bonuses acquired without having to defend it. This works best if you end your turn during a peak usage time so that the wait is usually short and you don't miss the chance. a simple counter to this would be to only allow one person to go at a time. it is impossible to prevent if the person is actually there waiting so the key is to wait and catch them away from the game when you make your move(unless while waiting another player begins their turn) - potentially simple but still a frustrating element to have to consider.
That is one of the strategies people can use on freestyle, but the one that is being discussed here is another one, used on Teamed freestyle, where team 2 is organized, and joins all at the same time, and they attack (and offten kill one of) the members on team 1, reducing their chances to win WAY below 50%

Lol, sorry, I meant that to quert, I just quoted you to explain something, but his post seemed fishy considering he had just created that account, with 4 games open, and none of them past round 2 at the time of his post, so I thought he was probably somebody's multi or something. Either that or a very insightful and analytic newb to be able to draw conclusions on strategy of a certain type of game after one round on 4 different games, lol.
you are not more likely to miss a turn while playing seq
No because in sequential you have to wait up to a week to play another turn, and they are dull.
And the game you linked, doesn't that just prove it's a problem?
Also you say it isn't a problem yet you have played 20 freestyle quads I've played over 60 And you've only played 5 as the first team, does that show you something? Yes, that you know of the advantage of joining second so you do so.

I suggest the sub-round not be shorter than 12 hours no matter the team number. While I am willing to check during a 12am-8am shift (24hr/triples = 8hrs), if my shift fell during work, I would deadbeat. Or, do you mean a triples round is potentially 36 hours?
So for a quads game the speed would be 1 round every 4 days (1 subround a day) And a triples game the speed would be 1 round every 3 days A doubles game the speed would be 1 round every 2 days.

Look this is simple. If you start a freestyle TEAM game and then complain when players play as a TEAM then you are nothing more than a coward. If you do not want this to happen, then play seq. If you do not like the speed of seq suck it up and play as a team or quit bitching.
