Ok so the one thing I've learned from doing some amature graphic design is that having a wide selection of fonts is key, with that in mind here's a link to a package of 6760 fonts http://thelinuxbox.org/?page_id=3

Seriously though, good link that, funky fonts can be very useful, as long as used in moderation. Handy to have them in your library for the occasions when they're very useful.

The problem is really that most free fonts aren't very versatile. They're great if you're doing a halloween poster, but not good for general usage.
