The Ethereal was bold. Without infiltration or back up he had been exploring the planet Kronus. The Tau had come here to claim their province, and to fight for the Greater Good. They had been too negligent, and now there was yet another setback to their war-effort. Upon travel, the Ethereal managed to stumble into the Necron Lord. The Necron Lord glided gracefully to the panicking and fleeing Ethereal. Suddenly someone who was dancing the Dance of Death jumped and kicked the Ethereal to the ground. The Ethereal had realised that escape was not possible now, and without time to see the dancer he turned and fought the Necron Lord. But the Genocidal machine was much too powerful, it had disposed of the Ethereal and shred its body into pieces. The Ethereal's blood fell, and here was the first casualty of the Dark Crusade. His unseeing eyes showed only panic. Whether the Greater Good prevailed or not, it was no longer in his hands.

The Ethereal's death was not completely in vain, however. The sounds of battle had attracted the lost and bewildered General-Militant Lukas Alexander. He stared upon the Machine so bent on genocide, and looked upon whatever was left of his small escort. He bellowed
"Destroy that monstrosity! For the Emperor!" and charged. The Necron Lord had nothing even close to emotions, but General-Militant Lukas Alexander thought he saw a mixture of joy at being able to exterminate more life and doubt in its unblinking metallic green eyes.
And so the fight began. The Necron Lord cut into the remains of General-Militant Lukas Alexander's escort. Blood and metal were the only things that could be seen, screams and the cackling of guns were the only thing that could be heard. The Necron Lord spied where the General-Militant Lukas Alexander was, and where he was bellowing commands. Ignoring the gunfire he moved full speed and lunged to kill Lukas Alexander. A last-second shot from Lukas Alexander's gun both recoiled the General-Militant and slowed down the Necron Lord for the deadly lunge to become only a painful fall on the ground. But even the fall on the ground had nearly decided the battle. The escort had little morale to begin with, but now that their commander who had supported them was lying and near dead little hope of victory remained. The Necron Lord seemed also to notice this and tried to finish the General-Militant, who was lying prone. However Lukas Alexander had a little more life in him than that, as the lifeless machine lunged for him for the second time he grabbed his gun and shot at the Necron Lord again. This time he had more time than for one shot and he kept the Necron Lord at bay. The men picked up the cue and with renewed confidence fired upon the Necron Lord. The machine that was so close to victory had been destroyed.

The Governor-Militant was relieved, but he was truly happy when he saw a squad of Guardsmen and one of his elite vehicles driving up to him.
"We've found you! Praise the Emperor!" shouted the commander of the Guardsmen.
"Sir, I have seen Eldar activity to the North. Seem to be heading this way" reported the commander from the vehicle.
"It seems we have a more pressing problem," Lukas Alexander replied grimly.
The others followed his gaze and saw the full, mobilized force of the Space Marines on top of a hill not far from them. A sight that would've been a welcome one, before the two waged war against each other. The commander of the Space Marines was Brother-Captain Davian Thule. As they watched he gave a rousing speech. At the end he had bellowed
”PURGE THE HERETICS!”
They did not have to wait long for their first heretic, as they charged down the hill they had met a rather unfortunate servant of Chaos. The Sorcerer tried to weave his magic, but the Space Marines were not hampered at all.

And then Brother-Captain caught sight of the force of the Imperial Guard. He pointed at them and again shouted:
”Purge the heretics!”
Lukas Alexander stared grimly at the charging force of Space Marines, and then at his own men. As the men stood in silence waiting for orders, he shouted
"Forward men! For the Emperor!"
And there and then the forces of men clashed. Men who serve the same Emperor, but men who have different allegiances. The Imperial Guard had a slight advantage of numbers, but very quickly lost it. Soon the Imperial Guard was outnumbered, outskilled and outgunned. Lukas Alexander saw the battle was lost, and saw that his elite vehicles were being attacked by Space Marine's elitist infantry. Seeing as the elite vehicles were the only things that could escape he knew what to do.
"Retreat! That's an order!" he shouted to the vehicles. Once they had obeyed unwillingly he turned to Davian Thule. It would be hard but he could do it. He charged with the squad of guardsmen, and he was shot down with the squad of guardsmen.

The apothecary rushed to Davian Thule's side.
"Sir, this will not be well received. Destroying one of the best units of the Imperial Guard"
"Oh it won't. I have seen the future, and they won't like it one bit" spoke the Eldar Farseer Taldeer.
Davian Thule replied
"Tell me why I should not destroy you on the spot"
"Because it will not bode well for you"
Brother Captain Davian Thule laughed.
"I am surrounded by my elite force, you are alone. This shall go very well for me and killing the Imperial Guard's fiercest enemy will probably amend relations. Hell, the victors write the history books and perhaps I will blame the death of Lukas Alexander on you"
Taldeer remained completely calm and silent.
"Men we have killed many heretics tonight, but now it's time to kill some aliens. Kill the Eldar!"
Davian Thule shouted and at once everything suddenly happened.
The Apothecary, who had been healing and helping Thule throughout the night, tried to run to aid Brother-Captain Davian Thule. Seemingly out of nowhere a dancer of the Dance of Death leaped out and kicked the apothecary to the ground. But this time that kick was fatal.
Thezzaruz-Apothecary- Space Marine Doctor has died. .

Then that Dancer of Death jumped from his lifeless body and some unsuspecting watcher was knocked to the ground, but only unconscious.
The elitist infantry of the Space Marines also rushed to help their leader, but then strange, skinless and lifeless bodies climbed out straight out of the ground and attacked them. The veteran infantry now fought for their own lives. Fortunately for them the skinless things were not strong enough to destroy them. Even though they could've fended them off by themselves someone unknown to anyone had given them help. However, when the skinless things retreated back into the ground the battle between Farseer Taldeer and Brother-Captain Davian Thule had happened.
When Thule had shouted that ill-fated command a Necron Pariah had tried to kill the Eldar Farseer attacking from behind. The latter had dodged just for to be slightly grazed by its attack. However the Pariah was much less fortunate for the Brother-Captain and his men had opened fire but the Pariah served as an unwilling bodyguard.
Kwanton-Pariah Thomas Macabee-Poisoner- Necron has died

Farseer Taldeer wasted no time. She engaged battle with the bewildered Brother-Captain, who had thought himself to be completely safe just a minute ago. However even the Farseer was as confused as Thule was when a strange man had approached them, completely clad in armour hiding his identity. And in the armour was a strange relic and fury and hate emanated from it.
However this was even worse news as this strange relic-bearer attacked Thule. The Brother Captain who was struggling to keep Taldeer at bay, could not defend himself from both of the combatants.

Taldeer and the strange relic-bearer stared at each other, and the relic-bearer turned and walked away without a word. Taldeer also left, for the skinless things had fled and the veteran infantry of the Space Marines were bent on revenge.
The battlefield became silent as all the forces dispersed. However the casualties of the night had not yet ended. The other races once they heard about the colossal battle decided to see the battlefield for themselves. The thick stench of Chaos was in the air as its servants had arrived. It's leader saw an Ork scout wandering around. He ordered his servant to scout ahead while he disposed of him.
Icedagger-Decipher #1-Ork. has died.

It was not a good night for scouts by any means. While the leader of the Chaos had disposed of the Ork scout, his own servant was killed by someone seeking revenge and only finding bloodshed
Pcmhugh-heretic-Chaos goon. has died

Everyone had lost someone. Everyone was grieving, but many were just glad to be alive.
