I had this idea a while back, when I had just joined, and thought to bring it back up:

What about a map of Pern from the Dragonriders of Pern series?

I'd personally work on this, but I'm on the busy side with school.

Just had this idea, searched the forums, and found this thread.

Copyright just means we can't make money on it... yes? I thought there were some maps floating around here from Middle Earth and whatnot, seems like they would fall under the same category.

Anyway I had some sweet gameplay ideas re: what this map could be... is this totally a non-starter or worth putting time into?

THe copyright means that we would have to pay royalties. Also we would make money from it since premium members pay.
