Hey flex,

I'm still waiting for igwig to show in Game 3738758. Doesn't look like he's been online since Nov. 20.

Best,

I'm giving players with empty games until Monday to join (to account for Thanksgiving weekend)...they've all be pm'd and a few replacements have already been made. More on the horizon if they haven't joined by Monday.

Playing their first conference game, Xavier continued its win streak with a stunning upset over #16 ranked St. Bonnies (a team that was 7-2 in non-league play). Coach Limbo addressed his ecstatic team after the game:

"You guys played a great game tonight. We lucked out facing a St. Bonnie's team which appeared a little jet-lagged from holiday travel, but nonetheless, I saw a lot of the solid defense and aggressive offense I've been preaching for the past month. Now we just need to keep this momentum going and continue playing smart ball."

I'll be posting updated standings a bit later tonight...and no I try to avoid forfeits, so I'd look for a reserve to take his spot...of course that's only been a day or two, so let's give him some time with the holiday and all this week.

Vermont continues their strong start to conference play going on the road and pulling off an upset against 16th ranked St. Bonnies in 11 rounds (3738800). Coach Plash Ricrem praised his team's ability to get out on the break early (early secured bonus) as well as their pressure defense (limiting the Bonnies chances to break said bonus). Additionally UVM received solid contributions off the bench (blue set and mixed set) to secure the victory. Ricrem hoped that this win would signal to the other members of the A-10 that "UVM has came to play, and is hoping to be a serious contender for the conference title."

With another 8 round victory over George Washington, Xavier moves to 2-0 in conference play.

Coach Limbo's only comment after the game was: "Huzzah!"

This week's poll and standings have been updated....Cincinnati is the new No. 1 team in the land.

I sent out the conference games for the Game 11 set last night...will get the nonleague games out once I deal with a few reserves issues...if you are still backlogged a few games please join soon...as I will be bringing in reserves in the next couple days (at least for those that haven't replied to pms)

Good luck as we get into the heart of the college hoops schedule.

All right nonleague games are out too...but Oklahoma State and Toledo need to join their past open games first if they want to stay in the league...I will be notifying replacements Monday night if they continue to be no-shows. Also, a few other schools with back-games, but I'm hoping that is just a Thanksgiving thing...if you still have open games from Weeks 7-10 please join them ASAP...thanks, flex

Memphis defeats Kansas to advance to 7-4 and remain undefeated at home (Game 3738762).

"We established an advantage (bonus) early and used it to take complete control of the game," said Tigers coach John Calipari. "I wish we would have closed out a little better, but a win's a win, and this one wasn't that close."

Memphis AD Huntyr Green added, "The Jayhawks are a good team, just going through some early struggles. I hope they put it together and make the tournament."

Memphis faces a serious challenge as they host #19 Baylor in their next contest. Asked to comment on that match-up, senior Robert Dozier said, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner, and nobody beats a Tiger in its own den."

And he won in just two rounds...shocking coach flexmaster who simply tossed his clipboard to the court and told his team to get ready for the next one...the Miners' win also snapped PSU's five-game win streak #-o

After dropping two in a row to fall out of the top 5 - Texas Tech pulls off a miracle victory in double OT at Nevada in game 3652298. Down by 16 in the 4th... (Down to one tert with 3 men on Doodle - no spoils) TT decided to be patient and let the game be brought to them - and became fortunate by the unlucky shooting of Nevada and stormed back - including fighting off a second advance by Nevada hitting a shot at the buzzer in the first overtime. TT now moves to 8-2, though struggling big time again at home against Illinois currently and in danger of losing 3 out of 4.
