What is your Favorite map?
Just wondering what is (or are) your favorite map(s) ? And why?
You know....sometimes you think you don't have any preference but those maps that you play over and over.

Re: What is your Favorite map?
World 2.1: It's easy to explain why. World 2.1 is like Classic Risk on steroids. It has much more territories so 8 player games are really viable. Several players can build a small-medium empire before actual fighting begins. Also, the subcontinents create a very interesting dynamic.
Feudal War: The conquest gameplay is much more interesting, because it avoids the luck factor on initial troop deployment. With that map, each player begins in the same fair position, and has to build his troops from there. This map is very well balanced, and makes for very interesting games.
New World: Again, conquest gameplay makes this map more interesting. Most of the good things from Feudal War also apply for this map. In my opinion, this is one of the very few maps that uses the ports concept in a proper way. Usually maps that include ports include too many ports linking to too many territories, completely destroting any strategic gameplay. This map has ports without overdoing the concept. They create interesting links between territories but don't make the map too open.

Welcoming the long awaited Trench Warfare Setting (Previously Adjacent Attacks).

Solar System as I am a huge scifi fan and the Uranus jokes appeal to my juvenile sense of humor (e.g. Twill....Uranus is mine
)
Crossword....dont know why
For normal 4 person escalating, I typically play Brit Isles, Iberia, Diskworld, Europe.......
For fog the AOR maps are wonderful

Re: What is your Favorite map?
I don't really have an all time fav, but I must say that Oasis is some sort of fantastic. An objective that is actually a feasible, if not completely preferable, method of victory? Yes please!
Re: What is your Favorite map?
World 2.1 for its hugeness and thereby creating a numerous amount of different strategies every time you play it.
Oasis for the reasons PepperJack just said.
American Civil War, because I tend to win on that map. Don't know why that is though.
