Is really there a country called Gibraltar?
Well, I still think Portugal area is very crowded... and the west area is too powerfull with 4 small countries. I strongly suggest you remove some more countries in Portugal (13 is too much, isnt it??) and merge 2 continents to create a medium one in North and central area of Portugal.
Spain looks well for now, although we dont know how it will fit once you put another font for names. I would just remove Gibraltar and La Rioja for now, since looks like these territories are too tiny to be used... and maybe same to Andorra, I dont know if I would put that minor country in the map.

a suggestion to try and solve portugal issue and many people may think this is terrible and say so if you do but you could try:
merging beirus and alentejo continents then merging territories beja and faro
and/or
put asturias in galicia then merge la coruna and ponteredra
(bonuses may need adjusting.

Here's the next update.
Changes:
Merged Berius and Alentejo and called it Portuguesa Sul.
Experimented with thinner borders
Got rid of Andorra and Gibraltar
Changed a few colours
Merged Beja and Faro
Merged La Rioja and Navarre
Moved a bridge from La Rioja to Zargoza

I agree with this, not only Valencia, because its near Madrid... But we would need adjust bonuses of the regions.
Do you know that Portuguesa Sul and Portuguesa Norte are like South Portugal and North Portugal? The other names, like Alentejo, would be more interesting, I think. Anyway, i would again mention I would move the little continent of Portugal to the Southern area, so its not near to Galicia (another minor continent). Hmmm, are you sure that "Catalonia" is spelled correctly??
Some minor things to change: colours of Catalonia and La Mancha are very alike. There is a gray line near Valencia name in the legend. Is there a sentence in the map? "Porto Real Bragança Zamora Valladolid", lol. Need replace some names
For now, I like the title, but dislike the textures of both land (it looks like paper, looking at France it becomes clear) and sea (it looks like fire, but blue, I think... when I see the area near Portuguese coast, it remembers me fire...)
About playability, Im most worried about the excess of borders of some areas, mainly Aragon, La Mancha and Leon.
Keep the good work, friend

Heres the ironic bit. I used a texture under the category paper because i thought it looked like a good enough texture. I guess that means I need to change it.

It makes me think of the light in the book of lost things. too dark. maybe just reform the textures altogether. If you're gonna have important cities, have one per continent, and you have yo include porto. Are they a part of ther logical continents?
Children, this is what happens to hockey players, druggies, and Hillary Clinton.
Rope. Tree. Hillary. Some assembly required.

Hmm Porto is too close to Lisboa and in the same continent...maybe La Coruna would be better...
