When I search for a game, I tend to want to find games that are closest to starting. A lot fo the times I will have to scroll through a couple of pages of games that have only one player (and a lot of the times, the same player has created 20 different versions of the same game).
I would like to see the games that are closest to full be placed to the top of my list in order of the smallest amount of players needed first.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
we need another search criteria...i.e.how many spots need to be filled before a game starts.
Specifics:
this search criteria will be in range from 1 to 7.
suppose i select 2 in this search criteria.then it will show all 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 player games which need 2 more players to start.
this search criteria is meant only for 'waiting for players' games and will show no output in active and finished games (unless we add 0 also in the search range)
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
better searches
faster game selection
combined with other search criterias(most importantly 'no. of players' and 'game type') ...this search criteria will provide u with the exact type of games u wanna find.

You can do exactly this by using a tool called Games Filter (it does a lot of other useful things too) :
That's true chip. However even though I see little use of the specific criteria suggested here I do think that a lot of the features that scripts do today would be better to have as a part of the site, especially when it (like this) is small adaptations to functions we already have.
thats the point. see i didnt know about this script.but even so i think these ideas should be incorporated in the site itself so that everyone can benifit from it.
Not to be a party pooper, but... it's already too easy for farmers like a certain marshal on the scoreboard now to dig up 1v1 matches with poor players and farm them. Must we make it easier?
not only freemiums..its for everyones benifit to find games easily that r bout to start...or even find games where u want one(or many) of your friends to join and then it should start.
It has been implemented in a script called Games Filter which is a Firefox + Greasemonkey tool. (It will be done for Internet Explorer btw) so if you need to filter the remaining slots per waiting game you can try this if you like. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=59119
The site will have this as an option. Site changes take a bit more time which is why scripts are provided as a temporary solution.
i think we can incorporate all the popular scripts for windows explorer as well...or we can just make then a part of the main site...what do u say guys??

well for starters all public 1v1 games have only 1 free spot open...so even if they search with my idea they wont be able to shortlist it further..
and ya u were right...that was a party pooper.
Sorry, should have been more clear. My point was that it's already easy to farm 1v1s because all you have to do is find a noob offering a 1v1. With your suggestion, people would be able to search for 8p games with only one open spot, find some that have no higher ranks, and join them. Instant overpower. Granted, it'd be stupid against 7 low ranks, 'cause probably enough of them would be afraid of you/want your points to go after you first, but the principle is there for mid level games and such.
