Race Across Europe [Winner: endar1077]

Post by dustin800 »

Race Across Europe (64/64, 2/8)

Theme
As high school and collegiate cross country seasons come to their championship weeks a tournament is proposed to see which of 64 Players will win a race across Europe from Iceland to Russia. The quickest to finish the race and conquer Europe is the winner.!

Each player will play a 5 game one on one series (premiums only, sorry!). The winner moves on and the loser stays there. Even if you lose you have a chance to catch up (some people are more endurance based). The person who reaches and wins on Europe in the fewest games in the winner (someone could reach it first but play more games). This means that you are not eliminated until there is no one left on your map or someone wins (minimum of 30 games, most will play 50+ games).

The race route is Iceland, British Isles, Iberia, France, BeNeLux, Germany, Italy, Malta, Greece (Ancient Greece), Russia (Soviet Union) and across the finish line (Europe). Who is the fastest harrier?

I would also like to get at least 8 reserves as this is a long race and some people may need to tag a partner when they are dehydrated or fatigued and can’t go on.

Games and Settings
Games will be one on one, standard, sequential, no spoils, sunny, chained (exception being a few 3 person games when odd numbers creep up in late rounds with the multiple losers brackets).1

Missed that part. Nope, sorry, I like the tournament but equalizing Soviet Union and Russian Federation won't work for me (even if it is just doing it in the map "level"). Soviet Union was a violent, occupying and awful "machine" that hurt many people and countries. Don't want to lecture you, just wanted to state my reason why I'm not in. Good luck with your tournament!
