If this is anything like the old AoM community boards there is a max replies per thread limit at some point, in that case at 2500 replies :P

We had to have 10 last post wins threads because of that :x

Well, the dictionary of Phate may recognize the word observative...

But it's the only one in the English-speaking world that does.

The word you wanted was observant... Your grammar is usually so good, I was pretty surprised to see you creating words.

lol, Cheers to that.

I did a google search and found it come up in quite a few reputable sources... So while I now acknowledge existance the word observative, I find myself somewhat irritated that we have a synonym for observant that is, esentially the same word.

Fucking English language.

lol...well, I think that means that I won... and, of course, that the English language lost...because...if grim is mad at you, you lose... :P

It's not a word I would ever use, as you mentioned observant is the standard form.

I already had a funny feeling about the word and did a quick check on dictionary.com to see if it had any results before you posted. It did, so i copied it from there. I just checked my hardback Uber-dictionary and, surprise surprise, it isn't there.

hmm...not to be too picky (hmm) but did i just get like 5 or so posts questioning the correctness of a word  lmao...now that is funny...what does that say about us? I guess that's what I get for being proper (most of the time...)

I think I'm going to start being incorrect more often so y'all will go crazy. 8)

And I did a google search and came up with websites like Merriam-Webster and Webster's. I'd have to check the 80,000 page Oxford English Dictionary at home to be sure, but our language is already so full of contradictions and exceptions that I wouldn't be any more surprised to find it than not...

...Because it lost.
