Remove one of the classic maps.

Post by mibi »

Concise description:
  • Remove one of the Classic maps.

Specifics:
[*uh... remove one of the classic maps.
    [/list]

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
    • Well I am all for choice and such, but splitting the classic map players in two just halfs the amount of maps available for any given type of gameplay. Speed games will take twice as long to start, and in general any game will take twice as long if there is only half as many people looking at each map.

No, no, add more. This will give a wide range of options, and more possibility of finding a really popular map over time. In all likelihood most will play all of them, at least until the most popular settles in.

but this further reduces the ability to find a game you want. espeically a speedgame if two people are on identicle settings, just different versions of classic.

Simple, if you both want the game that much, one of you will change.

I do not think you should remove them, but I hope we can have a better looking Classic to replace the shape based one.

Why not just have different graphical versions of classic, all with the same territories, and you could choose what image you see.

Nah don't agree to be fair.

I think that until we find a version of the classic map that is popular, a variety of classic maps is a good thing. Personally i don't have much of a preference at the moment but if i had to choose i would go for the Pop Art version because the shapes are simply ugly.

I know it may take a bit longer for speed games to fill but is that really the end of the world??
