Just paid for my renew and bought a new subscription for someone else that beat me I think needed the money.

As for the crazy dice and new maps and lingo....It's hard to step over copyrights even in another country and think a rather large (game) company will not come after you.

I understand that some changes have to be made to avoid copyright issues. But... world shape? dices? are dices copryrighted too???

why are there so many post and threads being deleted or locked? Seriously, I can even post and complain about how horrible the new classic map is without it being deleted?

the map is horrible. if I was to know that it was going to be changed right in the middle of my games I would have never selected the map. use some common sense next time before a MAJOR adjustment is being made.

I don't care it's been said, I feel a duty to give feedback and where the greater body of opinion stands is another matter. The new Classic map is enough to make me want to stop playing. For my social life that's OK and I'm just a freemium to CC but there it is. I really enjoyed playing the old map and a number of the new ones because they are similar to the game of Risk, or have as much character. I find I don't give a shit about a number of interlinked blobs each with a codename even if it's logically the same, attacking from Yakutsk to Kamchatka beats assaulting A12 any time. I feel strongly about it.

Funny thread: Twill said he doesn't like the new maps but acts like they are realy great. Anyway, why is everyone only talking about the maps?
We have no dice anymore (unfortunately I'm not ready to play in any of my games, I would've liked to see the catastrophe myself).

And the only explanation are possible copyright issues? You had the time to replace all that stuff, why didn't you have the time to give us a better (i.e. more detailed) explanation??? Anyway, if you wanted to remove anything that could be related to Risk, you failed epicly: The classic map is still there and I don't think Hasbro has a copyright on a picture of the world. The dice are gone but any idiot can see that the new system is exactly the same. Basically the whole game screams to everyone: "Hey I'm a risk-clone." Hasbro can't possibly be so stupid to have the map patented but not the gameplay.

Oh and by the way: Maybe you should think about the money you'll lose because many Premiums will stop playing. 25$ a year, that's roughly 2$ a month, that's not much but with (wild guess) 10.000 Premiums, that's a total of 20.000$ a month, couldn't you use a part of that money for either cutting a deal with Hasbro or hiring a good lawyer. I predict you'll lose lots of Premiums and that might hurt you more (financially) then making a deal with Hasbro.

But maybe I'm totally wrong and there's an explanation why all of this had to happen exactly the way it happened...if only lack would show up and F***ING GIVE US THIS EXPLANATION!!!

Also gone is Middle Earth. They actually just killed all middle earth games in progress as well, so it must have been a big deal (i.e., copywrite cease and desist letter??)
