RjBeals wrote:Incandenza - you hit the nail on the head. I almost feel like this site is a job of mine also. I have given many hours of my free time to CONTRIBUTING to this site. I would have gladly revamped the classic map with just enough changes to make it unique, and even better than it is. I feel like the management of this site are constantly letting the community down. Sure Yeti - you wake up to 30 games, that you can have fun with, and your grateful for it. I'm happy for you. You keep on playing those 30 games and enjoying the site. I'm also grateful for the 1-year free premium service I got for each of my maps. And the 1 PM Lack sent thanking me for it, and requesting I agree to give CC permission to do whatever he wants with it. And I didn't even mind paying $24 for my Italy t-shirt. But frankly - I don't like being so involved with a community, and then feeling like I'm left out to dry when something of some importance comes up, that I could have been used as a resource.

I have decided to stop making maps. I've taken the Brazil, Charleston and Iron Curtain offline. I'm going to take a break from cc. The foundry is dead anyway. Optimus, Incandenza, edbeard, mibi and all the other contributors - Thanks guys.

This is officially the worst thing to ever happen to the foundry. It's that simple.

Thats very disappointing...

I hope you change your mind, RJ. They'll have a Classic revamp competition up soon enough. You could still participate in that.

I'm not joining games on anything but RjBeals maps until he comes back. Hell, I'll personally pay him to finish each and every map if it takes that.

I'm dead serious. I am not above bribing him to return with everything feasibly within my power. You cannot put a price on the quality that he delivers time and time again.

ultimately, these are Rj's babies and they're his to do with what he pleases. It was a pleasure to contribute my thoughts to your maps. But, while I might have problems with 75% of CC decisions, I have to say that I feel you've jumped the gun a bit. We don't know any details and it seems like quick mopups of those maps were just needed to keep current games alive. Twill did mention a classic revamp open to anyone so classic will be back in some form. I'm actually quite disappointed in your decision because this map was basically ready to go live. I'm sure quite a few people were looking forward to it coming out and many people put quite a bit of time contributing to help this map come along. I feel your decision, which to me seems like it was intended as a slight revolt against CC, has just punished these people. I do support your decision, though, since these are your maps. I just hope you change your mind.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You can't do it, please? Your maps were the maps that I actually followed with great interest and I actually dared to post foundry (to your threads, of course) because of your friendly attitude and maps that interested me. Omg, you made me a foundry follower, you can't leave your maps! [-o<

I'll be your groupie if you return!
