Congratulations to Brunnings! Our very first Colonel!

Congratulations!!
Oh, but he is only 3 points beyond the limit, so some more wins are necessary to keep the rank...
Anyway, Im still thinking that is impossible achieve General status... None player can have THAT win rate... Weidsun had 2227 points some days before, but now he is near 2000 points again. Maybe brunnings can prove me wrong.
And, I cant understand that crown for a colonel

It appears he has dropped back now, still well done; finishing that many games, and finishing well is impressive.
Him and quinnster are lethal in doubles... I remember playing a three way doubles with them and warning them that we need to work together to get the other "powerful" team. The next morning I woke up and they had won it in the space of a double turn each... I was thinking WTF? But yeah I digress, well done.

I think we will have a general, it'll just take more players. The distribution of scores is such that it makes it extremely unlikely for anyone to be that far ahead of the norm with the current player count. If we get more players it becomes more likely. Of course if the level of players stabalises rather than increases then Marvaddin's probably right.

Well, to be fair those posts about never getting a general all happened when the point level for general was 4000, not 3000.
Also, since they changed the deadbeat rule point inflation around here increased a lot. Before since deadbeats lost no points every new player who joined and never returned did nothing to the scores. Now those people join 4 games, deadbeat and lose maybe 80 points but never return so it doesn't matter to them. Every time that happens the points pot increases a bit and the average player's score has risen accordingly.
Before if you had taken the average of everyone on the scoreboard it would have been slightly over 1000 (because some people who only ever play 4 games or less lose their points legitimately). I bet that if you would take the average of the entire scoreboard now it is 20+ points higher than before. Not a huge deal perhaps but those points will always make their way to the top and cause further inflation.
