TOP 20 - How Do You Rate Them.

Here is a nice uncontroversial subject.

How many truly exceptional players are in the top 20?

Personally i count around 5 or 6, i am certainly not going to divulge which.. where would the fun be in that!

Exceptional is all relative. To some players, based on their skill level and criteria, there could be a lot of exceptional players in the top 20. Now, ask myself and some of the top players- the list will shrink up. Others will let emotion be the determining factor....

I've played with 18 of those players. Only can I find 5 or 6 players if you extend the list to 23- excluding judgment on #2.

A snapshot of the top twenty like this is so temporary, that it isnt really the top 20...certainly the top 5 are, and probably the top ten, but the 10 to 20 players change regularly, and the scores that mark them fluctuate widely too.

To really map out the top players, for the purposes of fun, a time element would need to be instated. In other words, tie the score to the time held. That still isnt necessarily accurate, because the score is so decided by choice of game, that it doesnt reflect the skill or lack of skill of any one person on there exactly.

If scottland wanted to join 100 doodle assassin freestyle games, his score would plummet, but its possible his actual overall skill would improve.

Who the top 20 are is subjective. Certainly anyone can make it in there without being spectacular. That guy fitz was 17 for a while, and he sucks, for example.

The top scores of all time, is probably a better indicator of the top 20. Even that is flawed, because of the one hit wonders, but judging the temporary top 20 is a daily, or weekly event. And again, will never reflect the skill... just the points.

I would say about 6 are exceptional, another 6 pretty good and the rest range from very good manipulators to plain cheats. Just waiting on a couple of wins though and then the exceptional count hits 7

hmm ive played with about 3/4 of them...
id say 5-6 really impress me and are just stupidly good at this game.
the others are either like fitz said fakers..or manipulators...
though they all have some sort of skill
there are others out of the top 20 i would put in that stupidly good category as well

well to props to adonis for starting off the actual commentary on players, and for giving hope to all us balding men out here.....

so here we go:

sj is a pimp and has been around the top for a long time.....a tactician who doesn't make mistakes

i think poo is one of the top players on the site, i've seen him perform at all styles, and i'd say it doesn't really get much better in all around skill and savvy.

scott is about the same, i'd say....even tho scotty has gone to the dark side, he always kicked ass at sequential and handles team games too.....w/o freestyle and CM, i don't know if scott would be quite so high, but he's definitely in the top 20 players....

skyT has had his issues, but i teamed with him for a few games a while back, we didn't chat at all and played seamlessly, so regardless of his ethics, he does have skill

herpes may not be quite on the up-and-up either, but he can play, and he's funny as f*ck so......top 20, i don't know bud, you may have to beat me a few more times.....

warsteiner should be banned and removed, i don't care if he's good or not

seul is pretty stinkin good in team games, one of the top 20 in that i'd say, don't know about other styles....

mhennigan, i was always disappointed when i sent him challenges to team games and he never responded......

lt pie, pretty good but i don't know about top 20, sorry mate

velve i think is a tad below poo and scott in all around skill but is a killer in all styles

the rest i haven't played (some never even heard of) or have played just barely, and some of them have bad reps or are known for shady tricks.....

i'd say scott, poo, and velve are exceptional at all styles; sjnap and seul are exceptional at team games; and some others are just under the exceptional line, i guess......but that could change

so jim, i say 5!

dam medals

I dont know what else to play for or do, so collecting more of the medals, joining more tourneys and got clan challenge going, I guess that will keep me busy. Have the top 20 play the Horsemen in a 60 game challenge!

I've only played with the top 4 and rashid. I think scott and poo are top players, especialy at std esc which is the only thing im good at. King herpes seems pretty good too. Only played snap in team games, he seems good. Rashid I've played once in freestyle, he's good.
