Oooooohhhh... me likey.
I have Scots-Irish heritage (Ulsterscots) and as you can see, love both places. I started to make one of these once, but i couldn't find a decent base map.

i am very proud of my scottish background myself (my ancestery can be traced to Robert the Bruce) and would love to see a scottish map. This one looks good but it will have to have major work done on it.

a good idea, have you got any further with it? some of the smaller regions might be hard to use even when the map is made larger and also the continents should be closer to the actual reagons

one side of my familly owned almost 1/4 of scotland...and the other half had five generations as the bodyguards of the scottish royal family...then went mercenary for a bit...then after awhile one of my fore fathers, lord armstrong of newcastle, swapped sides in the first english civil war, from royalist to roundhead, very profitable.
anyway... balsiefen i like your map but some of the southern regions are a bit too small.

lothian is too small and i think it should be merged with some of the borders and some of strathclyde
