This site we visit is a never ending test. And it can consume far too much of your energy.
Like all drugs, you constantly chase the next high (which only satisfies your lust for around 2 minutes)
Therefore, I'm walking away

You can do it. I did it for a couple of months, so you should be able to.

i have a friend who was like that he went on and changed his password and did not write it down so he would stop talk about cold turkey

To do that, you also need to type a random email address in your email box here on CC, so you are never tempted to use "forgot password".
