Well, here's a layout just for some visualization of what I'm aiming at. I'm working on the graphics.

A few things:

First, another semi-update. I won't even bother numbering this one. At any rate, it's less than 1.

[bigimg]http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/3702/picture1gw9.png[/bigimg]

I know the cliffs don't look too good. I'll redo them later.

Secondly, while I get a full version up, I'd like to discuss some names. I don't think Pirates v Ninjas quite works. The title should convey some sort of forced unity between the rivals before the onslaught of the zombies approaches, if you get what I mean. Humor in the title is also a plus.

Ink...are you seriously going to do this?
I surely hope so.
The latest version seems sufficient enough to start really getting into gameplay (except for ships).
I am 100% behind option 4.
But the ships should probably have an equal amount of territories as the mountain.
As it is now, I'm not sure how this would work out for 1v1...
Getting rid of the UFOs was a good idea.

Yes, I am seriously doing this (except not). I'm happy you like Option 4 so much, cause that's what I'm doing :D

Glad to see you back in the Foundry, benny

Ninjas? On the beach? Does that mean they're Ninja Turtles?

...sorry, I'll get my coat.

Definitely like the idea... anything with ninjas, pirates AND zombies has got to be a winner =D>
might be good to have negative bonus on some of the zombie area

Well? Do I get any love?

PS. MrBenn, FYI: there's been a lot of off-scene discussion about this map on Live Chat and various Instant Messagers, and I can tell you that I know plenty of people that don't post in the Foundry but really want this map to go forward. I wish people would post in the thread though :(

The graphics are improving, although the gameplay is still a bit uncertain.

As far as your need of love goes, there's a whole other forum for that :? ;-)

This is me posting in the thread. You know I'm following the zombies closely, but my creative skills are generally fairly lacking. If I see anything that I consider "bad," I will say so. Keep up the good work.

Great, I feel mucho loved.

The game play will gradually become something or other... A lot will depend on getting all the territories down. As it is, I'm having trouble with the pirate ship and I'm definitely redrawing the beach territories and moving houses around.

So basically, between the cliffs (which I'm completely redoing graphics-wise), the beach (which need game play work), and the pirate ship (which needs to actually exist more than it does graphics-wise) - I kinda have my work cut out for me.

I'll look over it later, and see if I can offer any suggestions.

Ok Ink, you win. I sat here for like...................11 minute while the pic loaded. That said, dosn't this map have a butt-load of dead space? Needs more bonuses doesn't it?

If you don't want to make territory bonuses maybe you could make rally points or something? Like maybe treasure would give a bonus, and a secret rope down the cliff gives a bonus.... you know, rally points.... thats differen't, right?

Shouldn't there be a nice gate at the bottom ot the path to the Ninja Monistary?
The Pirate ship looks like it's flooting over the water too... and I don't want to see Peter Pan here!

I'm working on that.

Well, the treasure is definitely going to be a bonus. I don't know if I'd call them rally points, but OK.

And by the way, there are going to be more turtles. So the Zombie Mansion + turtle bonus thing will kind of work like castles + villages in Age of Realms.

No Peter Pan... maybe a gate, but I have a lot to do graphics-wise.
