argh, Looking at the game log, it outlines the reason i hate team freestyle, taking there turns at the same time and helping each other out by fortifying and deploying men on the others territories.

12 minutes is impressive, most of my turns take at least 6, counting time spent before hitting the begin turn button.

quickest game in turns was 5 turns, escalating
in length of time i can't really say... mostly a week to 3 weeks i guess

I actually just finished a sequential flat rate 6-person game in 5 rounds. In all fairness, I had a breathtaking opening position.

I turned in seven sets of cards during my final turn... it was something else.

I'm sure it can be done in fewer rounds, but not by much, and the army placement gods would have to indeed shine upon you.

4 ROUNDS

From when the first player started his turn, 11 minutes 44 seconds.

From when I started my turn 11 minutes 1 second.

Granted, the players were lower ranked.
