Either wiki stopped making sense or she is seriously confused.
that could be a typo. i think if it said "does not support contraception..." then it would make sense. its wikipedia. research it and edit it.
of course Obama's stand on it was that it doesn't matter, a) because well it doesn't, b) saying anything else would make him look awful, and c) there's going to be enough senseless slander without his help
(btw i'm not against either here, just pointing that out)

don't forget that his mother had him at the age of 18.

I wish I could make nonsense names that people would believe.
Such as "GOOD BOYFRIENDS FOR SLEEPING WITH YOUR SISTER" or "KIND FATHERS FOR THE BEATING OF CHILDREN."
I read a FEMINISTS FOR LIFE pamphlet once. They have an interesting point of view. They believe that the push for legality and accessibility of abortion is part of the male-chauvinist "Playboy philosophy" that a woman is just a toy for men, and a pregnant woman is a broken toy because you can't have as much fun with it, so you have to "fix" it with an abortion. They believe that we need to be ruled by the feminine nature, which is to give and nurture life, rather than the masculine nature, which they say is to kill and break things.
The right answer to the wrong question is still the wrong answer to the real question.

Agreed. I'm not saying he doesn't have class and all, but this doesn't necessarily prove it. This was the best statement for him to make politically.

Ah: the old "only men enjoy sex" attitude. Very feminist.

Yes!

That's a difficult word to spell. I always have trouble with it for some reason.

Um, while I'm a zillion miles from her opinions, I can understand abstinence for single people and contraception after marriage making perfect sense and not being contradictory. I don't know if this is her position, but it'd make sense.
She fully supports people taking measures to not have babies, but doesn't support telling them? Even if she supports contraception only for married people, that still means those married people don't actually know about it.

you certainly can't argue with that. also, as Obama put it, the situation with Bristol has zero relevance on Sara Palin's ability to govern. None.
Exactly now let's all try our best to ignore it.

Yeah, because that is clearly Barack's fault, and something for which you should call him to account.

Yeah, because that is clearly Barack's fault, and something for which you should call him to account.
I don't call him to account for that. I was just using the same frame of reasoning that liberals use in framing anything pertaining to republicans.
That said.... I do however call him to account for his choice of his most influential guide and mentor... which is by his own admission the esteemed racist Rev. Wright, whom he asked to marry Michelle and himself and baptized their children... I question the judgment of ANY person who regularly attends service in that church (so called). This reason more than any other is the reason i will not vote for that man.
He is however a talented POLITICIAN!NO COMPLIMENT IMPLIED!
Right, because people don't ever change. There is absolutely no possibility that Rev. Wright was, at one time, a sensible and responsible leader of his church, who, over the last 20 years, has grown increasingly more ridiculous and consumed with getting and keeping the spotlight by any means necessary.
You may notice, of course, that Obama's campaign has not ONCE made reference to McCain's choice in pastoral relationship, and that it is McCain's campaign who tries to attack Obama by claiming that church and a Reverend from which Obama has distanced himself (and had been doing so since BEFORE the campaign or the crazy video of Wright) is somehow a reflection upon him.
Of course, on the plus side, since that whole Wright controversy started, the McCain campaign and anyone else opposed to Obama can't claim that he's a Muslim anymore. At least now no one's questioning whether or not he's a Christian.
Dude, if you only knew how many crazy preachers there are out there, and how many people continue going to those churches, tuning out the crazy because of the fellowship of their friends in the congregation. Well if you did, maybe you wouldn't jump to such ridiculous conclusions.
Rev. Wright isn't going to the White House if Obama wins, so it is a good idea that you're not voting for "that man". But feel free to vote for Obama, cause if he wins, he will go to the White House, without Wright, you'll be relieved to know.

... Snorrii, you're pushing it and you know it. Palin and the like are not against teaching about contraception, they are against having it taught to their kids in public schools.
... Personally I disagree, but that's how they think.

I guess the church tells you as part of the preparation for the marriage, or your parents have the Earnest COnversation with you just b4 you get hitched.

Oh I understand that. But...where else can you teach people about it? Do married people get a special pamphlet right before the honeymoon? Or what?

Then surely you must also call to task Bristol Palin's most influential guide and mentor....her mother. After all she and her convicted drunk husband did a fine job of instilling her with good Republican, christian morals wouldn't you say?
This makes you wonder. Who will win White Trash Mom of the Year? Sarah Palin or Lynne Spears?! So far Spears is in the lead as Palin's daughter has yet to be photographed without underwear...yet. There is still hope though. After all Spring Break is right around the corner and we know the girl likes a little Captain Morgan to help out with the morning sickness!
