I can't view youtube, or I woulda commented sooner, but yeah, isn't that crazy? Russians would be speaking American by now....

They're lucky we don't call it FRENCH 2.0 or something....

I finally got the chance to watch that video, and I have to wonder, would things have played out the same way if Putin were in office instead of Yeltsin? What about Medvedev?

I miss the relatively more stable 90s.

maybe... but i think (though tragic for those living and dieing through it) this is all about oil and gas but the west can not apply martial pressure as the end game is already decided... As as world history has already provern, no one has the will to play it out.

Really the Russian is just breathing out before it's too late and tailor measures his jacket too tight.

I'm not sure myself. It moved forward a bit because of the Iraq War, but I can't remember where too.

LOL...That was obviously put together with an agenda. If it happened, and it very well may have. I can guarentee Yeltsin didnt sit around with his fingers crossed. He was on the phone talking to Clinton. Well...he may have been on hold while Clinton finished dicktating. But if we were going to overtly attack Russia it would not be with one missle from a submarine. It would be with hundreds of bombs from stealth bombers, tomahawks and land based ICBMs.
