I do not believe that the Olympics are rigged or being scored illegally.

I also do not believe that this girl (He Kexin)...is 16 years old.

She is actually the oldest looking gymnast on the Chinese team!
Congrats China!

P.S. I loved the opening ceremonies and i dont give a shit if they had a little girl lip-sync or that they used computer graphics for the TV audience!

There is actually some fairly good evidence that He Kexin is 14 years old.

China has gone to extremes to attempt to project a positive image of themselves in these events. After all of the things we have already found out, I don't think that cheating is a far stretch for them. I don't know if they are or aren't, but at this point, I wouldn't put it past them.

U.S. defeated China in women's beach volleyball. I don't like that Tian Jia. She purposefully fakes an injury whenever her team is down. She called for a medical timeout against the U.S. because May-Walsh were about to win. Also, the Chinese wouldn't have even made it close if there hadn't been a rule change where you can hit the net on the serve and it still carries over. They've got to change that rule back to you either get it over the net on a serve or you don't.

The Medal table is a sure sign that China is becoming more powerful than the US .. and that GB is on the up again;
possibly another M-pire in the offing!

The little girl singing at the opening ceremony wasn't singing.

Oh, well that's not a big deal in my opinion.

True.

But what about when you consider the fact that the reason the girl, who WAS singing, was not on stage because the Chinese decided she was "too ugly"?

That just makes it awesome.

they only look so powerful because they have all the golds that they rigged the judges to get when in most of the cases they certainly only deserved silver or bronze. the men's high bar for example. Horford or w/e had the hardest ruitine and only lifted on foot on his landing. The chinese guy won gold by .0025 of a point

I watched this match. It was BS.

Our TV doesn't cover GB. All I know is that they won a bike race, an that they aren't in the top 5 for medal count. How are they doing? And what's their events?

And embarrassing for China...

Saw that too..... the BS that it was.... I think that America has been robbed a couple times in gymnastics.

Are they only investigating her? or will they investigate the ages of other Chinese gymnasts?

As far as I know they have only started an investigation on her. Primarily because that "hacker" found evidence in regards to her.

But if it's proven that she's only 14 I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at others as well.

I laugh at the people who are saying that the USA is just crying for an investigation because we lost. Yet these same people were all for stripping our 2000/2004 medalists of their medals for illegal substances. If it's against the rules, it's against the rules. It doesn't matter WHAT it is.

I would hope they investigate at least some of the others especially since one of the other girls looks younger than He does.

I just watched a boxing match between Roniel Iglesias Sotolongo of Cuba and Manus Boonjumnong of Thailand. Boonjumnong was clearly ahead and winning. In the 3rd round this idiot starts juking and disrespecting Sotolongo. At one point it enraged Sotolongo so much that he swung, missed, and fell over. The Thai just laughed and mocked him during the remainder of the round. This continued for quite some time.

Congrats Boonjumnong....you are the biggest jerk of these Olympic games and exactly what not to exemplify when it comes to sportsmanship. Did anyone else see this match?

Here he is doing it to a different guy in a different match. I have no idea when this photo was taken. Someone feel free to photoshop this guy and turn him into the moron he is.

Wow, I have a related story.

We box a little out here in IL. My brother was mocking this guy during a match, and he slipped off his glove and punched my brother in the eye...
My brother kicked his ass with his gloves on.... but still he did get what was coming to him, I think.

Maybe someone will stab the Thai?

Unfortunitly I don't get Olympic Boxing, I'm stuck with frickin' Olympic High Diving....

... There was a story about this girl in Xin Hua News, China's official party paper / news web site. The story ran last year and credited the girl for her outstanding achievement at such a young age of 14.

... China replied to comments about this article, "It was an obvious mistake". That article has since vanished from the Xin Hua site.

I can still remember... when I posted that it went:
1) USA
2) China
3) Australia
4) France
5) Russian Fed.
Bob Costas give us the count like every four hours

Good for you guys though! I wonder if GB was like 6th place and waiting for their events or something.... Does GB and France still have an olympic rivalry? Also, if you guys could take China down the USA would appreciate it.... :D

The actual Olympic results are only based on the number of Gold medals.

America decides to use the total medal count, and ignores the Gold medals tally.

I didn't know that there was a way to win the olympics.

So much for "go world."
